I looked at the article then went straight to the comments. I was surprised that mutual friends of penny.. Say someone father knows penny very closely said she was not living with Philip and would not leave the house where her child was buried.. If there was an affair they would know about it. I though very strange... They could be right but just because you know someone well doesn't mean they tell you everything.
No friend of Penny or any aristo is going to betray a confidence like that. Everyone knew Charles and Camilla were shagging but no one uttered a word.

Does anyone know what the personality of Elizabeth is actually like? We only really see her in PR stunt scenarios, what is she like behind the scenes?
I have never seen her show any emotion at any funeral or sad event. However she sHe'd tears when The Royal Yacht was taken from the RF. It says a lot that she cried at the loss of an inanimate object but not at her mothers funeral or anybody else's for that matter.

She did cry at her mother and sisters funeral she shed a tear.

Plus When they have remeberance day she has been seen wiping away tears.

I’d rather not get into a debate on this thread about what I think of the behaviour of his family. No disrespect to Captain Tom himself.

I’m certain the media will not film The Royal Family during the service. It would be a total invasion of privacy.
I reckon that they will film long shots such as from above or the back of the chapel. I can't remember more than the procession from QEQM's funeral but that of course was a much bigger congregation. Philip's would have been around 800 present had there not been the pandemic.

Well if she did I didn't notice but I remember how shocked I was seeing the pain in her eyes and tears running down her cheeks as Brittannia sailed away for the last time. I remember thinking "it's only a bloody yacht".
Well, yeah, to you who has never put a foot on it (I assume). To someone who passed a great deal of time on it and had memories indelibly linked to it, it may well be a bit more.

I’ve seen her wipe tears a few occasions, the trooping the colour when she was on

I remember at Margaret's funeral she did wipe tears.

I think we will see her wipe some tears on Saturday

I found this article of when she has cried.

I do remember her wiping a tear over Britannia. I can understand why, they had privacy on that boat that they didn't have elsewhere and could be a family properly. She grew up with it.

However the same year she stood outside Buckingham Palace and watched Diana's coffin go past without one iota of emotion.

Maybe she is like me - if someone crosses a line once too often they are dead to me. It's part of my personality. I find it hard to get emotional if something befalls them 🤷‍♀️ l'm not an uncaring person by any means, or an unemotional one - quite the opposite.

People all express and experience emotions differently. I got a bit tearful when I moved out of a flat I’d lived in for 11 years, because of everything I’d been through during that time. The Britannia was a big part of the queen‘s life for much longer than that, so I don’t blame her at all for feeling emotional when it ended.

Once I was watching Paul O'Grady For the Love of Dogs and they'd had a corgi brought into Battersea Dogs' Home.
There was great excitement cos the Queen was due to pay a visit that week so, being such a big fan of dogs and especially corgis, the staff thought she'd love to meet it.
When they showed her this corgi though, she didn't attempt to stroke it, or speak to it or even crack a smile. I thought that was quite odd and I think she went down in my estimation a bit from then on!😁

Pictures taken before Meghan entered stage left? What are they doing, pretending they don't exist as they did to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor?

This doesn't sit well with 'much loved family members'
They prob don't have any pictures with the great grandchildren including Archie. He left the UK before he was 1. I'd say it suits them alright though!!

These are great grandchildren. Louis is on the Queen's lap. Edit oh l see what you mean. Then maybe pick something else?

I can't see how this won't raise an eyebrow or two.

Photo taken before Archie was born, also babies Lucas Tindall and August Brooksbank not in this photo. Can't include people if they don't exist yet.

I know what you mean too -

I know what you mean about raising eyebrows but should every photo or statement be filtered through a lens of how will this look in relation to the Harry and Meghan situation? It's a nice photo and it includes all the great grandchildren born at the time. They might even have a group photo from 2019 but Archie would have been born then so would look even worse to release that.
