That cover. That title. It's all hilarious.

I really hope he and Meghan never break up because he will never ever be welcome back into the RF after this.

If KC has the guts for it, I could even see him going the Danish route and stripping Archie and Lilibet of their titles since they're not in the direct line of succession and slimmed down monarchy.

I think it's more the stuffy courtiers that get upset about this sort of thing than the royals themselves.
 
So much for the book being "about the man I have become" when it's called SPARE a direct link to "the prince I was born"

I cant imagine there's going to be anything in it that "destroys" the Monarchy...remember when everyone thought Oprah would bring the house of Windsor down and now the interview is just a laughing stock.

Re. Mike Tindall. I don't really agree with him doing Dominoes and Amazon Prime ads that are a bit close to "cashing in" on the royal connections but the difference is he has never been a working royal and has never held a royal title therefore has never represented the monarchy. That was the problem with Harry and Meghan's half in plan, they would have still been representing the monarchy whilst undertaking commercial activities. Whether they received taxpayer money or not the Queen wouldn't allow that to happen. It's a thin line though and I think Mike is pushing it a bit here. It's interesting that he's doing this after the Queen has gone which suggests a) she would never have approved but Charles does or b) he and Zara don't have the same level of respect and courtesy to Charles as they did HMQ (I believe Zara is close to Charles though)

I don’t know if it’s true, but I heard Mike is doing it to raise money for charity - Parkinson’s Disease, because his father has it.
 
Mike and Zara cashing in, is probably based on 50% being popular sportspeople (even though both aren’t active anymore iirc) and 50% because of their connection to the BRF. It’s not Mike‘s first rodeo. I am no fan. But as long as they don’t work for the BRF there or get money from it directly (let’s face it- they probably get some money funnelled through mummy or at least benefit from stuff that mummy owns because she is a working royal) there is no real reason not to. Well, apart from tact and self awareness and not wanting to be a sell out.
H&M wanted to do both. I am pretty sure if they dropped the titles, police protection and what not that could be them.

The Title of this memoir is hilarious. Quoting the first description about the book when we got:
„not the Prince I was born, but as the man I have become“.
So SPARE is what he goes with? Has he really not managed to get past this? Still? How much therapy will it take? Or is it indeed about how he feels about being the Spare for almost thirty years? So, again all about him being a royal. Had this guy nothing else to talk about. It’s depressing. Maybe a different therapeutic approach is needed?
And now he is said to try to soften what he, at one point felt important to say. I really can’t with him anymore at this point. As much as I think badly of M for telling him, he is basically the only reason she is not killing herself (talking about guilt and pressure, especially for someone still being traumatised by the death of his mother), H is a big problem for them going forward in building their own profile. I wonder if she will get annoyed by this at one point. At least, she tries to be more, while piggybacking on the RF, but still. H is completely immersed in this Prince Harry, the victim, so hard done by, there is literally nothing else to say about him. He needs to shut up and only talk about Invictus, Sentebale and some other veteran stuff for a year.

I wonder why we haven’t heard any official references to them as P/P by now. The discussion is the letters patent might be interpreted in a different way and they could not automatically have those titles if you want to go that route is an interesting one for sure. No idea how much merit it holds though.

I am also intrigued how BP still under HMTQ and the House of Lords seem to have been brooding about the Counsellor of State issue. The version I heard of is including more working royals. Which would mean Anne and Edward, so the pool to draw people from gets bigger. PA and PH would not be called upon anymore in practise, but don’t phase the humiliation of being cut out officially.

All I will say is that (potentially) he's a fast mover as the kids recently changed schools. (Unless it's the old school of course)

Poor me, I was born second and won’t be king, Poor me I’ve had a life of privilege but no one asked my wife is she was ok; poor me I chose to exit the RF and my father cut me off and I only had millions from inheritance, poor me, poor me

Clearly therapy did nothing for him.

It’s quite worrying how he is playing this out to the world and I don’t feel this will end well.
