The Nest (bbc)

It might not have been the best episode so far. But I think tomorrow will be good. We will know what happened to Kaya. The truth will be out. How much involved is the social worker?

The scene with the social worker was so badly done. I didn't think it made much sense and was a bit random and 100% definitely didn't give a tit about the character enough to be shocked.
It also annoyed me how Emily wouldn't go see the tiny baby in Nicu😭😭

Yeah that was odd from Emily as she was so desparate to have a baby she was more wound up with her husband and Kaya lying. The social worker scene was rushed.
I definitely feel the social worker scene could have played out a lot better, however with another episode to go tonight, they may hopefully do it more justice with the backstory or explanations? Fingers crossed it doesn’t have a shocking ending like most of these dramas tend to do these days.

Martin Compston did post on Twitter that it was going to ‘get lively’ in tonight’s episode so we’ll see what happens.
Agreed the scene with the social worker felt a bit shoehorned in but think the actors have been good and it’s been well cast.

My heart actually broke for Dan when they said he couldn't go in and see the baby. It's weird, I feel more for Dan's feelings than what I do for Emily. I found it strange that the camera focused on the DNA company name on the envelope when it was handed to the detective. Maybe I'm just reading too much into that though 🤷‍♀️ I honestly hate that reporter and Kaya's mum!! I knew there was something dodgy about James the social worker, but the scene where they arrested him was weird, there has to be something more to that, it was a bit confusing, I get why he was arrested, but it was so rushed. I'm hoping there's going to be a big twist tonight. I've got so many questions and theories in my head today. I can't wait for tonight, but at the same time, I'm gutted it's the last episode. I'll miss that lovely house!!

I binge watch episodes 2/3. Then re- watched 1 again. I think the mum killed the pregnant women. I was thinking the pregnant women who murdered. Did the baby survive? That would make the child the same age as the social workers kid? I think if you couldn't get into it. watch it again. I am hooked! The social worker was in The Victim. So already get creepy vibes.
That's one of the theories I have.

I dunno, I felt the ending was.. right? Kaya got the life she deserved after the awful childhood and Dan and Emily got the child they wanted. I agree it wasn’t a big old twist but if you think of the characters and their situations, it seemed like the right fit for the journeys they all went on. Definitely doesn’t need another series. Enjoyed it on the whole but it was rather predictable with the mother being majorly involved.

The ending was lovely, all 3 of them got what they wanted. However, the writer lacks a lot in the way of tying parts of the story up, in my opinion. Not that I'm overly interested in James, but I would've liked that tied up properly instead of "I'll just write he gets arrested and off he goes". who was Frankie's mum? Where is she now? The whole Doddy story seems pointless because I've been left a bit 🤷‍♀️ Even the IVF clinic, that was just left hanging, Emily couldn't get through to them, the end, so again 🤷‍♀️
Although, Martin Compston topless 😍 Roll on Line of Duty coming back!!
