Guys I started to watch series 5 (last one with the 3 girls in it) and it’s soooo awkward I don’t think I can bear to watch it! There difference is so so noticeable!!! In it I’m sure Holly is already dating Chris Angel, she doesn’t call Hef puffin EVER which she always done before, no affection and spending a lot more time with the playmate at their house. I’m sure Kendra was also seeing Hank and also on the last episode it was supposedly filmed months after they actually ended it but the girls still had to fulfil their contracts with the show and Kendra was pregnant in it and when Bridget moved away to travel, Holly stayed in the guest house and still worked at Playboy for another few months.

after watching the first 4 series back to back then going to watch the 5th series I couldn’t believe how it all changed 🤣

Does anyone else find Holly's story really hard to wrap your head around? I'm not sure if it's just me misunderstanding, but it seems like she flits between saying she was in love with him, saying she wasn't in love with him, and saying she was but wasn't because she was lying to herself that she was.

She makes herself out to be a saint and that she 'wasn't like the other girlfriends'- i.e. didn't want to use Hef for his money - but.. that's exactly what she did? The implication being she pretended to actually be in love with him as she didn't want to be seen in the same light as the other girls.

But then the narrative kind of shifts into Hef abusing her and how the toxicity of the relationship made her believe she was in love with him. But I'm not really sure when that comes into play, because she says herself that the other girls forced her to become the main girlfriend and move into his bedroom, she was repulsed by him, etc. She never describes a point where it became an actual relationship like she says it was.

I just don't get it. Watching GND my question was always "does this witch actually love him???" Because she certainly seemed to on the show, I know they attempted IVF, but like c'mon. Yet I feel like her book didn't give any answers and her narrative re the nature of their relationship changes a lot. Her CHD interview was interesting though, especially when she says she believes she's not neurotypical and had a hard time connecting with others which meant her not connecting with Hef (having a normal sex life included) wasn't that abnormal for her
 
Every single girlfriend other than Bridget have said Holly was a complete witch who was openly using Hef and mocking him behind his back. There's no smoke without fire. Having said that, do I feel he was abusive? Probably, so I can see why she may have conflicting feelings.

I remember me and my sister watching it in the summer holidays (think we were very early teens) and our parents happened to come in just as Pamela Anderson was naked running with a birthday cake for Hef 😂. We had the whole series on DVD too 😅.
I used to have a dream of going to LA when I turned 18 to try out for magazine (I’m even cringing now typing that). And I thought oh it would be so cool to stay in the mansion and be friends with all the girls.
Oh to be a clueless teenager again ...
I think the show portrayed it as a fun girlie place to live and hang out but sadly I think the reality was far from that ....

Alsoooo did anyone else have a playboy pencil case and stationary set from WH Smith 😂🙋‍♀️

I remember it was a big scandal that they were selling them there. there seemed to be loads of playboy branded stuff then
 
sO i have just watched the first girls of the playboy mansion thing, watching it back it is even more weird than i remembered tbh

I have never met anyone who also watched this programme so would love to know if anyone on here has seen it and what their opinions of it are! Watching it back now as a 26 years old and noticing all these things I never noticed before is so funny!

I'm assuming I must have watched it at a similar age also as I'm 26 and no one at all I speak/spoke to ever watched it 🤣 but now my weekend is sorted I am gonna re binge on YouTube thanks for the flash back of this!

About to listen now - I've really been looking forward to this.

Also- they did a podcast episode with Heather Mc Donald, her podcast is called 'Juicy Scoop' if anyone wants to give it a listen Very insightful and juicy.
 
Listening to the second episode now, really enjoying the podcast. I loved Hollys book so hearing things more in depth is really intresting.
