Thank you @Yellowfairy for posting the pic. JB looks like a slob with his shirt hanging over his belt and his Aqua Net hairdo. Also his pants hanging over his shoes. Blech. (Sorrynotsorry)
 
You are so right @DoubleOld. The pics of the groomsmen all look very suave and sophisticated. JB looks like the poor relation. Are there any pics of Michelle anywhere? I haven’t seen any.

Just saw on an Instagram post from someone who has bought the magazine that covers the wedding (can't remember which it was), Jim Bob sold the photos etc to the magazine for a big payout- because of course JB gets a payday! Jill was one of the only sisters who wasn't part of the bridal party- Jessa was maid of Honour. Jana and Stephen got back together in January this year, and got engaged in June. They are moving to Nebraska together. People who've read the article and have commented and said Jana talks about Stephen like a buddy, not someone she is in love with, and it makes them sad. They did have a first dance, which is unheard of in Duggar weddings.

Thank you for posting the pic @Pren20. But why is there such a big space in front of JB? Didn't want anybody to take away from the full image of himself since he was in the second row so he made sure nobody stood in front of him? And why aren't him and JA ("Joyfully Available") standing beside their daughter like in normal wedding pictures? :unsure:

Oh, that's right, nobody in the public wants to see any sight of them!!!!!

I've read numerous comments like that @Ashlgr. I think people forget that in the fundie world that's how they're taught to talk about why they decide to get married to a particular person. I wouldn't expect Jana to say anything else; that's the only language she knows and that is acceptable in her world. Her body language with him, however, shows decidedly romantic feelings toward her husband. YAY.

I agree! She doesn't really understand "love language" if you get me, because it's not acceptable in their culture. She looks besotted with him and so happy on her wedding day.

Yeah you'd think with all the millions he's stolen from his kids and made from his slumlord properties and dodgy used car dealerships that he might be able to afford a decent wedding suit. I mean in that brood he knows it will get a lot of use, surely?

He wouldn't give anyone the steam off his tit. That's why they do "home church". So there's no need to tithe. The IBLP isn't a church. It's an association of extremist nutjobs which sells its followers bs "educational resources" and charges them through the nose to do conversion therapy on gay fundie kids.

My understanding is that he had declared his compound a (non-profit) church, himself the head of the church and the church a homeschool, making him exempt from taxes and other expenses. That's why he was able to amass such a fortune.

Janas house Reno looks great! And the older of the unmarried sisters seem to have been visiting Nebraska a lot with her (presumably to “chaperone” but also it’s nice they get to get away from JBs compound)

as soon as she showed the basement which looks like a seperate apartment I was wondering how long it will be before one of the sisters negotiates going to school or training college in Nebraska so they can stay with Jana

she’s such a good role model for her younger sisters- Johanna seems just as into DIY and Reno as Jana
