Wind picking up here, had a little bit of sun and calm and it's just starting again.

Le renforcement du vent se confirme par le Nord-Ouest Vendée. Quelques pointes relevées dans la dernière demie heure :

We have a lovely wooden one that we bought at the Strasbourg Christmas markets when the boy was small. When he was little, and I guess into his early teens, I would fill it with sweets, lego and playmobil figures, packs of marbles, bicycle lights and bells, Pokeman cards and such. Whatever was his current thing. When he got older he wanted to share with us so now it is filled with lovely chocolates and liqueurs that we all like. He was still getting a lego advent calender until 2 years ago!

No I didn’t need to because it became part of a tradition that it came out every year and he would build whatever was in it. it’s now bugging me because I can’t remember if it was Lego or play mobile. I shall now have to look at the Christmas photos from those early years.
 
STEPHANIE’s poor little sick orphan princess pity party manipulation is working on gullible viewers while she is vacationing and shopping again $$$$$. So far in 2024, she has taken to her bed and has suffered from
  • her bad hips ( inherited from her grandmother? Bullshit)
  • a bad back
  • several colds, headaches
  • bouts of “ man flu“
  • an eye infection during patron days
  • exhaustion/ “overwork” illness/ lack of sleep from editing bullshit
  • illness from dust, mold, crap in the attic.
  • and now a Covid like illness?
  • sick after returning from a week vacation in Morocco and needs several days in bed for exhaustion and a cold.
  • sick after returning from 7 day trip to Japan. Several days in bed. TOO MUCH TRAVEL ? Sick returning from Japan.
  • She is usually sick the day before major holidays, whenever work needs to be done at the dump, when she doesn’t have a storyline ready and needs attention, etc.
  • wasn’t she sick coming back from Austria?
  • she was sick when she went to auctions with tobacco Johnny and snorts
How many bouts of sickness, exhaustion, back injuries, etc. can you recall so far this year?

And she hasn't reached her 50's yet, we all know that our 50 were only an intro to sniper alley that is our 60's.

Three eyes ops this year and gallbladder scheduled for January, I'm barely into 60's.

Wasn’t she trying to hide a fever blister /canker sore on her lip ???
and surely those claws and feet are arthritic the way they are freakishly shaped!
 
I’m beginning to have doubts about Amaurys hand….if they posted earlier that they were leaving the chateau on mollies page then this could be a ruse to excuse their escape…..and doubly helping by finding reasons to delay grand salon…..after a four hour operation you will be kept in hospital for at least 24 hours and on strong pain meds so can’t drink…..and also in a sling for at least a week….and the bandages didn’t look like substantial hospital ones …..I smell a rat……

To be fair, it’s no different than how they did decoration in the past, it’s just different materials. At least he’s trying to do something harder than picking up auction purchases. I think he’s one of the more talented owners compared to everyone else. They also planted their own garden, fixed their pointing themselves, sand and seal everything, and run new electrics and water.

My thoughts exactly, people used to paint cheap wood to look like paneling or marble, MP painted the fake paneling at the farmhouse. I say fake it til you make it. I could not afford all new skirting boards. So I bought a roll of foam looks like skirting and stuck it on. It looks nice and finished and no one the wiser. Could not imagine the money in actual restoration. Its sort of that theater illusion, just don't look up close.

Back in early September my son had a hand operation for a ruptured tendon in his thumb.
His operation didn’t take 4 hours even though I would say the the stitches went 75% around his thumb on the outside. I don’t know how many were used to sew the tendon back up.
He had a general anaesthetic but was still sent home that day. He went straight to bed and slept until morning. No beer for him.
The hand was also put into a plaster cast so that it couldn’t move along with a sling. . I think he was in plaster for a month and then to a rigid plastic cast. He now has a thumb support and was told that it would be 3 months before he could use it again. No weight lifting until august.
I can’t understand why bun boys took so long but ended up with so little protection afterwards
