Hello my lovelies. I just wanted to give you an update from SWFL before we spend tomorrow helping our neighbours with storm prep, packing, last minute laundry and attempting to getting a good night's sleep to evacuate to the panhandle early Tuesday morning. We currently have no idea where Hurricane Milton will hit or at what strength. The closer north it comes to us, the higher the storm surge. "Live on the water- it is all sunsets and cocktails"- LIES!!! @mrsp67 is staying behind (she lives more inland) and has a full house of first responder evacuees and dogs who will be staying with her. We ixnayed our MILs beach house on the east coast, as it it also in the path, and hotels more inland are fully booked, so we're going to join the mass exodus and head north. The dogs will be thrilled- they love a good trip, so at least there is that. I just want a good night's sleep at this point, and the Marriott we are booked in promises this! :ROFLMAO: (I mean, had it been a Hilton hotel, I would have gotten a "magical Fanny upgrade", but I just booked a good hotel with what was left- brand loyalty means nothing at this point. Mr. T Rex wins as he lurves Marriott- his points have expired, though, and neither of us wants to stay in a dump.)

I will say for a hateful lot of "15 hags", the overwhelming amount of messages on IG, texts and prayers from you for our safety is quite humbling. Hugs and love to you all, and stay safe my Florida Tartlets and Tartgents. I'll try to check in when we get to our destination and what we find upon our return. 😘

Yet again a mystery illness ‘cold’ going around the chateau! This is very likely to be Covid and with anyone that’s vulnerable/ old we now know the effects this has on their body! In fact anyone of any age is risking long Covid! Pls take this seriously…..

Philip should acquire bread plates. I am noticing a lady looking where to drop her piece of bread

It's a funny quirk in France that they generally do not have bread plates. You normally put your bread on the table next to your plate.

@RonRobertson-lafrance we almost always have along with bread knife and if space enough, individual butter set with relevant tiny butter knife

Traveling to other Chateaux as day trips or visiting owners has always been part of Chateau Diaries. The ceiling of the Grand Salon is scheduled to be brought down in November after the B&B season ends.

Well, always the same, the kitchen, a table certainly well set, but a video looks like a video, nothing new. If again a purchase of plates. And your other work??? When I see Dicjk and Angel for example, there are fewer ideas of grandeur, but their castle moves beautifully, the same goes for Franck and Silvère in another style. But they give a lot of themselves, and don't just set a nice table. Become the original Stephanie again. THANKS

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 smart ass Philip and Stephanie

Philip, knives are not put on their knife holder when you set the table. Usually, knife holders are only for family meals but not for formal meals with guests. :) Marie : We don't say Bon appétit for each dish nor at the start of a lunch/dinner. It's said to be bad manners :)

What a splendid château! I always wanted to go and also visit the musée du cheval in the stables. May I make one suggestion: Marie should change to a clean apron when serving and coming to speak to the guest, just in the tradition of the grands chefs. When they come out of the kitchen they change to match the elegant surroundings, everybody dresses up for the guest dinners and out of mutual respect.

Chateau COVID, nice

12€ for a bloody card! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

You're having a laugh!

Aumary moving machinery :sleep::sleep: excellent quote 'I love my job, playing with cool stuff', not done much else with them. 'I haven't got time to sit around doing sweet FA'🤣 She padded out to vlog with that segment.

The oldies frozen to the bone eating out of tupperware boxes, so poor.

Chicken shed :sleep::sleep::sleep:

Carpaccio of pear again and then just to make me regurgitate breakfast, The South African Gurner rock up channeling his inner Saturday Night Fever.

Who was that in the background (at12.07) as stand in pot washer putting the plates back on the rack?

Yes and I'd be speechless at that monstrosity of a dining table. The poor guests (about to go down with a bad dose of COVID) won't be able to find their brown food amongst all of that!

The table decoration shouldn't work with the Ardmore and Porcelaine...........it doesn't Fanny but no one has got the balls to tell you.

Burnt cheesecake, intentionally well well

singing for the sad acts (had to bypass that horror)

Still not worth 75€

Oh dear even though he is once again struck down with the dreaded lurgy AnneMarie hasn’t got time to sit around doing sweet FA. Excuse me but that‘s all he has done for the last 12 months (apart from swanning off on holiday, getting married or buggering off to the SOF to help 2 tonnes and ton ton settle into their new house) nada, nothing, zilch or to use his words sweet FA. It is a peculiar state of affairs when the walking shroud appears to be the healthiest person there.

I knew that a new begging campaign was coming up - every time Potty appeares, the money printing machine has to be started. The card is definitely not a work of art. Also a bit empty and impersonal. They could have immortalized at least one peacock to represent all the animal suffering they cause. A front yard without peacock tit is not a real Land of Lies souvenir.

On July 15, 2024 Tattler Tartuffe called it on using architectural drawings for the LieLande pop up card featured in a July, 2024 video.Click below to see the entire post.
Did Stephanie get written authorization and permission from the architect to use her drawings in a LieLande pop up card? Here is a portion of the post:

carte.JPG

*********
I suspect Mme. Architecte, Catherine Autissier of La Châtre, will not be pleased to see her measured drawing being used by Stephanie Jarvis for commercial purposes.

Fanny commissioned Mme. Autissier to survey the exteriors of Chateau de Lalande in 2021 and to devise a range of possible alterations, which included opening and enlargening windows, adding balconies and shutters, and articulating entrances. Mme. Autissier produced dozens of drawings depicting a myriad of options, and the illustration for the pop-up card appears to be one of these iterations (with the option of not opening the blind windows on the right wing) or a composite of them. Stephanie Jarvis and Philip Janssen visited the architect at her studio in La Châtre to review these drawings in October 2021. This was featured in episode 266 of The Chateau Diaries on YouTube titled "PLANS FOR LALANDE'S NEW FACADES!" which premiered on October 24, 2021.

Example of one of the architect's many drawings:

mme architecte's drawings.JPG

An architect owns their designs AND their drawings. (Note that the architect's name appears on each and every drawing she produces). Even though Stephanie partially owns the chateau, commissioned the survey and preliminary designs, and may have physical copies of the design drawings, Stephanie does not own the designs or the drawings. She would need specific permission from the architect to publish or reproduce them, most especially for commercial purposes.

It appears the architect's drawings were scanned and then edited to enhance certain features for visibility and for practicality's sake to adapt the image to a pop-up card format (for instance, the removal of the courtyard turret affixed to the right wing and the scaling the image). Very likely this was performed by graphic designer Stephen Cole of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Regardless of these edits, the drawing fundamentally remains the property of the architect.

I emphatically question whether Stephanie Jarvis or Philip Janssen acquired necessary permission and authorization from the architect Catherine Autissier to reproduce her drawings which are her creative and intellectual property. The buffoons at Chateau de Lalande are known to be flagrantly ignorant of law, professional standards and ethics, and common decency
.
By the way, Catherine Autissier knows a thing or two about copyright protections. She is also an accomplished artist and illustrator, most recently illustrating a 2023 book about Monet.

Catherine Autissier is at the right:

my post on the architect

I was under the impression that people were already paying helping with the not-so-grand salon and terrace via Patreon.
How rude of us to expect her to make a living and pay for her house with only 30k+ a month.. never mind the tax-free amount. Who is posting those cards? They can't even get the Patron cards out.

Gosh, those 12 euro cards are to save up for renovations, as she clearly has not got enough money coming in on Patreon due to her buying a secondhand Porsche, multiple holidays, designer clothing, etc. I remember when she was waxing on about how she only just started to not worry about money anymore so she could get rid of her rubbish now. Perhaps, she should have been a bit more careful with her funds. Dan seems to spend all the money he makes on YouTube on building/renovation. She taps up her viewers like they are grannies who fund her lifestyle. The charity clothes are shared on screen, not the Erdem dress, Chanel bag, etc.

Fanny who has been playing in the jewelry box with her brooch, bracelet, earrings and ring, points out that the photo the cut out was based on was earlier in the year before the wisteria had reached the top of the pipe. did indeed fail to point out the missing orange fence, Davey trees and the damp.
Potty took the photo of her at her desk that she works at. 🤣 for the website.

Yep. I bet it is it is this designer and Company. They made the pop-up cards for Versailles, Stephanie is obsessed with Versailles. She even had an old pool table Restored by the same expensive company that restored the pool table at Versailles. The cards featuring the crumbling Dump would be additional bragging rights for her, just like getting 2 Prague ratters in one year because hundreds of years ago they were owned by Czech royalty or like purchasing tens of thousands of euros in porcelain related or connected to Versailles or royalty, paying to go to the balls at Versailles, and making about a dozen trips to Versailles discount for new antiques to try to purchase for the dump. Stephanie has a long standing Marie-Antoinette fetish. Other status symbols, Stephanie claiming that she was made a lady or dame or something like that in France, purchasing the Givenchy chest, claiming she was upgraded to a suite in Venice that was used in a motion, picture, etc. She and the other dump crew owners and members will likely use them as personal Christmas cards, birthday cards, correspondence, cards, etc.

Didn’t they take the drawing of the dump from the architect plans submitted to the local government officials and use that for the card?

She will likely do some of the chapel next to sell.

It likely cost a chunk of money to have the status Dump cards designed a manufactured by this design firm. Stephanie writes it all off as a business expense and keeps a crap load of them for herself. So predictable.
Her obsession with status symbols, etc is so nouveau riche. She should be married to a footballer!

How authentic are they? Do they show the crumbling facade and the flaky window paint?
