Our run of tit news just continues here 2022, 2023 and now 2024. Mr Spratt's cousin (like another brother to him) who was only 59, has just died from cancer, having only received the diagnosis in January this year.

I hope all these grifters get their just desserts.

Can you imagine your children knowing your home was paid for by others?
Social housing but living in a chateau. That’s what these grifters are. They are tenants.

It does seem that many vloggers loathe or despise their viewers. The action for camera face often drops.

The Puy vidal girls said how exhausting it is to be on camera especially if you feel low. They are building a good business model that should sustain them
Fanny doesn’t need the money her life hasn’t changed really.she claims patron have changed her life yet what has been done? As we know very little.
The money has been spent elsewhere.

I have had a pretty consistently crappy 10 years so I know how you feel. You have to keep moving forward and try and concentrate on the positive and then also hate watch Chateau flogs ha ha

So sorry for your loss. It comes as such a shock when the period following diagnosis is so short. A similar thing happened with my brother at the age of 51 - just a couple of weeks between diagnosis and losing him. Think of you and Mr Spratt.

I think at the beginning they were all really grateful to patreons and dazzled that their projects were popular. Pretty soon they all began to resent the patreons, in some cases I think they actually despise them, their opinions and definitely in private mock them as a bunch of sad twats. I don't think the Smugs care too much about patreons and they certainly don't feel the need to read here for their content. They have too much style and dignity to film themselves in bed together. One common denominator is they all believe their own hype and let it go to their heads. The fact is it is the property they own that has given them a revenue source that a timing and the Chateau DIY programme propelling them forward. I think the Smugs flog title was tongue in cheek but Fanny is too grandiose to hear that Phillip is taking the piss. The difference with the Smugs is they are trying to diversify and build a brand, they don't flog themselves to death over YouTube they realised they could lead a very comfortable life just doing a 15 minute flog a week and it has bought them time to be with their kids and please themselves. Rebecca, Tim, George and Claire and Erin and hot French bloke have all steered clear of YouTube and plough their own furrow to have businesses with longevity when the cult following ebb away. The Smugs can find other revenue streams and Fanny will just g back to bleeding her Mum and ex paramours dry.

What is the deal? I used to think she wasn't blending her mismatched foundation onto her neck area. But that is not the issue. Maybe she really is blood related to Gerry....half sister and they both inherited that skin issue. Gerry's is much worse but he is much older than she is.

Exactly! I don’t really care about the BDSM chapel or the falling down farmhouse. To be honest, Fanny’s “chateau” is among the worst I’ve seen…it could be beautiful if Fanny embraced it for what it is instead of trying to force it to be something it’s not. Seems like that’s Fanny’s modus operandi…forcing people or things to be something to fit her narrative. But, yes, the worst part is the way she manipulates people to part with their money…not to “save the chapel,” “save the lake,” “fix the heating,” or “panel the Grand Salon”…but to travel the world, eat expensive food, drink, party, and buy expensive crap on other people’s dime. ☹😡

It’s a very long time since Stephanie gave patrons any meat on the bones on progress (or not) relating to the architect’s proposals for shoring up the Grand Salon and the area above, not to mention the additional works for which estimates were going to be sought.

Realistically, the Grand Salon won’t now progress an inch until after the B&B season. Even though the punters aren’t in situ throughout the working week, the amount of disruption upstairs - floors up, walls being removed - must make having B&B guests a non-starter. Another six months with nothing happening?

I suspect the architect’s report on the GS and the bedrooms above was a nasty shock. The architect appears to be very thorough and won’t gloss over the reality of what’s required. Who knows what structural horrors he found lurking at that end of the house.

Stephanie might also like to address progress with the planning application and what elements - if any! - will be undertaken and when - if ever!

it’s her 50th birthday next year. Other than the chapel, will anything have advanced?

Moribund trees in the kitchen garden due to lack of water. What a surprise.

Spot on. Poor Fanny does it to herself. The sad girl from a very ordinary background feels the need to try and make her self look upper class. Like her Chateau she is not top drawer and why she feels the need to try is beyond me. I think Chateau La Lande could be a lovely house, imagine if Rebecca from La Ruche had bought it, it would look homely, unpretentious and lovely. I don't know what is wrong with Stephanie she seems to want to make herself and her home as gaudy, blingy and as unattractive as possible. I think it stems from insecurity that deep down she wants to be something she isn't and this crosses over to her home. That is also why she had to drive the Porsche to see the Fleuries, she is definitely not comfortable around them. Anna is younger, talented, stylish and their Chateau is worth well over double Fanny's. Mr. Smug is the kind of guy Fanny would have liked to have been with. Instead Stephanie is becoming so socially unacceptable, because she is actually an utter ne'er do well a little gutter snipe. If she had stuck to her word and rolled her sleeves up and done some serious renovations none of us would be here. As time goes by she becomes more contemptible with all her staff pandering to her every whim. Then the lazy good for nothing has the audacity to always act tired and over worked. What Stephanie needs beyond all else is a true friend to tell her some home truths and hold her to account. Anyone can see what she is doing is morally reprehensible bordering on fraudulent and they all keep just gushing over her.

So why does Fanny show something started like the attic bedroom, and then never show it completed? Is there a Master list somewhere of things that need to be finished? Why didn't the dish room get done in the off season? Did the orange fence death make all the farmhouse projects stop? Why doesn't she show Shorts doing his upholstery stuff? Where are the Chickens?, peacocks and hens? Sheep? Just show us one finished room, just one....

I am stunned anyone wants to stay there, literally the place is a mess. The fact she wept by the fireplace about how unsound the structure was and has done nothing is just beyond me. The people who live there keep making it evident how uncomfortable the house is, now where to sit and relax, freezing cold, damp fusty-so why do these daft patreons pay top dollar to go and see Fanny. They are at this point a bit like the desperate women who become pen pals with serial killers and then contrive to have a relationship with them. They are unhinged.
