it's probably her goal to use up all her financial resources on herself. Why leave a legacy when she can spend it her deserving self?
OTOH, she could start the Porcelain Fondlers Foundation Trust....pfft.

The more I think about it the more I can't get round the absolute cheek of him doing the proposing, when he's totally dependent on her. It must be some sort of Narc power play to upstage Fanny using the leap year to propose to him.

Well apart from his porcelain he has literally nothing to offer her... he can't provide for her financially, he can't provide any form of maintenance for the property, most men have some DIY skills, he has zilch. He really brings nothing to the table other than crockery and cutlery. I wonder what her father would make of it all... he probably had high hopes of his Princess marrying a man of substance, one with his own wealth and career and good standing in the ranks of the elite and she gets engaged to the hired help who did very little even then.

Whilst I agree with all you say, Fanny is now too old to attract the type of man - substance, own wealth, career, good standing etc. This type of man whats a younger woman. They don't want a woman who cannot cope when she does not have all of the limelight. They don't want someone with manic moods and the spending habits Fanny exhibits. And so, she must look elsewhere. Phi phi shares her interest in spending money, travelling (whatever he may say) or at least staying in nice hotels, eating luxury meals and shopping in luxury shops. He is prepared to be her support animal and she needs one. Whilst I am sure she does not care about fidelity, she won't want to be thought of as "the old trampoline" which is what Elizabeth Taylor's gay butler called her when complaining that one of his duties was to service her from time to time.

In all probability Snorts will outlive Fanny, and become owner of the Dump.. along with all its inherent problems. However I doubt that he'll make any income from YouTube etc, he hasn't got the personality
Fanny has offloaded the Dump to Snorts. I'll bet she'll spend the next couple of years 'honeymooning'..🤢🤢🤢 and spending all the cash.
Game set and match to one of the grifters...take your choice which one.
