I actually thought Snorts looked deeply uncomfortable with the dog.☹.

He didn't seem particularly happy to me either. If my long-awaited wish finally came true, I would obviously be happy. But I didn't see that. When he arrived in Lalande, he strutted around with the puppy as if he had achieved something great. But I didn't see anyone who was overjoyed about the new family member. Maybe the dog thing was typical toddler behavior - begging and annoying to get something and the moment you reach your goal it's no longer interesting.

Furthermore, this will not be a gift without something in return. He knows Stephanie too well for that. The day will come when she presents him the bill for this gift. This knowledge outweighs the joy of the puppy.

I think if they had to get a dog, it should have been a larger one, like Molly. There is no way they will be able to keep their eye on Lancelot every second. Tiny dogs, like that, can easily disappear. We know they keep doors open all the time and he will easily be able to get away quickly. There are numerous hazards there: lots of cars and vans coming and going; diggers; cherry pickers; dangerous machinery in barns and outhouses; trees being felled; not to mention Aloysius in the field, and larger farm dogs in the neighbourhood roaming free, remember the dog that caught a cockerel? A tiny dog, like that, can easily get through fences and dig holes under them, as well. I once worked in a building surrounded by large parkland. A colleague used to bring her small terrier to work. One day, it got out and was never seen again. It was concluded that it had probably fallen down a rabbit hole. I can't imagine Fanny and Snorty taking precautions to prevent something like that happening. Amaury has trained Molly really well and she is never far from him. PJ will never manage to train his dog in like that and small terriers are difficult to control and love to run off to hunt. Anything could happen to him in that dreadful place.
Now we know why they were so eager to put a wooden fence round the dilapidated tennis court.

I think Lancelot does not like or is afraid of Frankenfraudie. She speaks in such a mean, imperious, scolding tone to animals. I don’t believe she will do anything to care for him unless the little pink camera is rolling, She isn’t going to alter her daily schedule or travel schedule to accomodate the dog.

And who knows...maybe Ruby will have to share her his food?:unsure:🥰
I believe Ruby would happily divide up ratting/ mousing duties with the new Dump royalty.

I came to congratulate you both on the new puppy (and I do), however I read of the accident at the chateau in your drop down. I know you have potentially dangerous repairs being done both inside the chateau and around the grounds, and the injuries must be serious to have all there so upset. Of course, we understand you needing time. I will be praying for you all.

“This was supposed to be last Thursday’s video, but we decided to postpone as there was an accident at the chateau. None of the Lalanders were involved, but we’re all very emotional and not up to filming at the moment. So, there won’t be another Chateau Diaries until Thursday. I’m really sorry and I hope you all understand 💛

What happened to tragic accident wording? Is the little orphan princess backpedaling?

I’ve not watched the introduction of Sir Lancelot Snortalot. As others have said, there are dog rescue charities in France. Why on earth travel to Germany to buy a puppy? Much less a breed that does not lend itself to being an accessory. Unquantifiable stupidity.

It’ll end in tears.

As we say in my circle…adopt, don’t shop. The gruesome twosome are constitutionally unable to do thay.

Frankenfraude and fifi aren’t serious people they are fools. I’ve had my darling Cavoodle for 18 years and even though she is still good for her age i can’t leave her, she is so bonded with me that she frets when I’m not with her. My husband and I have put off travel plans as when went away in July and boarded her for five days she would not eat etc. A friend had to pick her up and mind her for the last few days of our trip, mind you it had been six years since we went on a proper break.

I am so pissed if with these two flakes all I can hope for is when the dog is eventually re homed it’s with beautiful people.

I think everything scares him at the moment. The whole trip was a bit much for such a young dog. Torn away from his mom and out of home, new people, new surroundings. I would also have found it better if his breeders had brought him to Lalande personally - that way he could at least have made the journey with familiar company. But Stephanie probably didn't want that, so she wouldn't have had a reason to go on holiday for several days.

Poor little pup travelling for hours. Did the dump crew have to wait up just for Fanny to vlog them? Maria cam…1 am …
Fanny had two different coats, really for two days.
No Fanny we know you were gone for a shopping spree.
Coats tick,
scarves tick
Boots tick.

No wonder the girls weren't all over the puppy . . . they just wanted to go to bed.

I’ve had rescue dogs in the past. Unfortunately, as I’ve gotten older I’ve developed severe allergies to some breeds of dogs. I can’t pet one of our dogs or I get hives. I would never dream of getting rid of him, but I can’t pet him for very long without washing my hands. I recently did get two puppies a year apart from a breeder, because I knew I didn’t have a reaction to that specific breed. I can’t bear the thought of not having a dog I can cuddle and snuggle with. It kills me to not be able to kiss our Bubba (beautiful English Pointer) without my skin burning and swelling up. Sometimes I do it and run and go wash my face right away (still happens). I’m thankful everyday that my two little Cavaliers don’t affect me the same way. I can’t get their hair in my eyes though, I have to flush it and scrub my eye, because my eye goes full bloodshot and burns. 🙄 I have to take meds for asthma probably because of having all of the dogs in the house, but I don’t care.

I don’t know why, but I am more allergic to dogs with red noses as opposed to black noses. WTF? I’ve tested the theory on many many dogs. Go figure?

I feel so sorry for you ..... I would hate to be allergic to my dog plus...... I am the one that grooms him everyday!
Thank goodness your Cavvies do not affect you but it must be hard not being able to pat your Pointer.
