The Bear - Disney+

Oh my god, the Christmas episode :oops: I laughed at all of the chaos but ended up crying by the end. It really gave an accurate representation of mental illness. Poor Carmy and Nat, they've really been through so much with their family and then losing Mike. I wonder what happened with their Mum? Haven't finished the series yet so maybe it's covered.

So invested in Richie's forks ❤

That one was a hard watch.

I’ve not stopped thinking about this show all week. I’m now rewatching season one again and it’s so much better with the context of season two. There’s some incredible things I missed.
My favourite
in episode three, carmy asks Ibra why Mikey was buying the smaller cans of tomatoes instead of the better value bigger ones. Ibra says no idea, he didn’t understand Mikey. As he walks away, he mutters ‘who cares, we don’t use tomatoes anyway’

I didn’t know there was a thread on this!
I loved the bear and I’m only sorry it’s nominated along succession which will surely take all of the wins.
Your man who plays Richie is so much more attractive than he was in girls! I rewatched it recently and let me tell you, there is SO MUCH sexual tension between him and Sydney in the stressful episode just before she stabs him. It’s delicious.
I'd forgotten starting it and have watched Season 2 at least three times now. Must make a list of my favourite moments. Let it rip!

ETA Oh and Francie Fak? She can go duck, my love!

This line made me snort out loud. I loved season one but didn’t really think of it as a comedy, but there are so many hilarious lines throughout the whole show.

So interesting, I thought there was a spark between Sydney and Marcus! I really hope they don't pair any of the chefs up though. I like the messy dysfunctional family vibe they have going on!
Er.. Marcus = gay.. about to dive into the Christmas episode - I paused as wanted it to last longer.
I was EVEN. impressed by Will Poulter in the Denmark episode and I normally can’t STAND him.

I didn’t get the impression that Marcus was gay, I think Sydney has a connection with Marcus (the scene where she cooked for him after she walked out was lovely) and a connection with carmy (loads of examples I could give!) but not necessarily romantic, which I really like. I also think she’s got real chemistry with Richie.

I saw a post on the show's instagram with four key scenes featuring forks 😯 when Richie deliberately set the fork wrong during the interview, Mikey with the fork at Christmas, Richie cleaning the fork and the sink full of forks. I'm going to make a very long shot at Francie Fak having something to do with it 🤣

Hahahah we should definitely have guesses on what Francie did.
Is it bad that I’m considering a rewatch? Mainly coz there’s a dearth of decent stuff to watch now.
