The only ones I can name are Simba, who actually contributed for once last night and Dani because she sounds like Dani Dyer (daughter), and looks a bit like her with those utterly ridiculous distracting lips. And she says perfect a lot, even when it isnā€™t. I keep expecting her to say perf with Surf. The children who were surveyed had more insight than they did.

The thing that gets me with these tech tasks, they have a couple of hours to do something. They were terrible but they are not going to produce the next Angry Birds, so I find it a bit of a waste of an episode when they do that.

I am enjoying the series but I do think these are the worse candidates ever. There is not one standout character, either for being brilliant or being a chump. They are meh. If this lot were the ones that got through, what were the other applicants like. One of them must have a seriously fantastic business plan.

I hope Claude is back for the next series.

I felt that they were set up to fail with this task. I doubt they would ever have been able to produce a product for the stipulated demographic. Children that age want to show that they have bought into the latest big thing . When I worked with boys that age, they wanted Minecraft , Fortnite, that sort of thing. Not sure about girls. If there was an app to go with it, it would not be produced in one day because it would have to be super slick to grab the attention of children that age. Though surely everyone knows that itā€™s all about technology these days for school age children. The tasks need to be achievable.

I much preferred in the earlier series where they would just drop them into existing businesses and see which team could adapt and do best (home shopping channels, car showrooms, estate agents, even that Topshop task in series 2).

The ā€œsit them in a room with a graphic designer for 2 hours and then have them pitch a crap drawing to unnamed ā€˜industry expertsā€™ā€ is boring and repetitive. The motorbikes, lunchbox and kids cartoon tasks in this series have felt almost identical to each other.
