luisa's season was the first overly produced season (season 9? i think?) i remember there was a clear shift from the previous season to a much more glossy version
hadn’t seen the earlier article about racism when I posted that! I hope she didn’t suffer discrimination on the basis of her identity.
Like a giraffe.Shazia is an absolute pain in the neck.
I think Leah from that series was the first investment winner. There was such a change in the applicants at the point where it became about investment rather than a job. Now it's even worse as they all want investment for basically social media businesses and to become influencersluisa's season was the first overly produced season (season 9? i think?) i remember there was a clear shift from the previous season to a much more glossy version
I agree about the format being worn out. I used to really look forward to the show and the spinoff, now I find the main show pretty dull and the spinoff unwatchable.Having not watched since 2015, it’s really jarring that the show hasn’t changed much since it’s inception and is almost identical to the episodes they were airing a decade ago. Same boardroom set, same editing style, same music, same tasks. The presence of Tim is the only thing that distinguishes it.
I might have posted this on here before but I do think that replacing Alan with Deborah Meaden and having a complete refresh would do it wonders. Set it outside of London, have completely new tasks, a new visual style etc. The whole thing currently presents such a 1980s view of how business works.
(I do think that changing the prize from a job to an investment was when it started to jump the shark, but I can’t see them going back to then old format).
Found the article. This was a few years back but does anyone remember the ex-apprentice candidate who was invited to appear at a parliamentary committee on reality TV?
She basically said that production actively sabotaged the tasks to make them look bad, so it made a better TV programme.
He is a good looking man, but Sohail is my favourite in the looks department.Does anyone else think that Joseph is dishy

Joseph’s business plan is lip balms…ocean saving lip balms. Random.
If Lord Sugar wants to invest in a business to help save the ocean, one lip balm at a time, then I’m his guy,” he adds. We’ll have to tune in to learn more about these eco-friendly balms.
Anyone else find that Joseph looks a bit panicked when not smiling? I kept noticing last ep. Maybe it's the Shazia effect

Talking of Shazia, she came across as smug as anything after the results were announced
Meanwhile, Victoria just appears miserable. But she's been more bearable of late

One for the jungle Joe fans
And that stupid article in the Radio Times this week didn't help either with Sirallun saying that you can only work in an office, working at home isn't really working. Is he even aware the 1980s were 40 years ago, the rest of us have moved on with the times?Having not watched since 2015, it’s really jarring that the show hasn’t changed much since it’s inception and is almost identical to the episodes they were airing a decade ago. Joseph is beautiful but looks out of his depth. He doesn’t fit in, but that’s not a bad thing. I think Simba is also a bit wtf.
I think it was Tom Pellereau who was the first investment winner with his nail files (he was also a nice person, which is as rare as rocking horse shite on this programme)I think Leah from that series was the first investment winner. A previous contest was on a sex show on channel 4 last year, which is obviously something you would do when you want to be a serious businessman
