Im guessing either sophie/aaron didn't want to participate and they got rid of the other one too so they had equal help

Aaron's said that he could have gone but because he was away from his wife and family for so long and it was their anniversary he wanted to be with family instead of filming...completely understand his reasoning tbh.

They usually don't all return. I'd say about 80-90% of contestants help in the final.

Sometimes I wonder if they don't return because they pissed off production whilst filming. And she is one I could imagine doing just that! Does anyone know when the final episode is filmed? I have always assumed it is before the series starts airing on BBC.
