It’s raining here too - so over the rain! Grateful for the show court roofs - me and little one are crafting whilst watching as can’t get outside

That is annoying how they're very selective about when to show the Hawkeye, some kind of agreement to not show when the umpire is wrong? It should always be shown for the interesting shots else what's the point.

Looks like rain until 1am Paris time!

He's right about the French audience, it's been getting worse and worse ever year. Rome is pretty bad too, but I guess it's not a slam.

“Clearly, it goes too far, it’s total disrespect. It’s really too much. It’s becoming football, soon there will be smoke bombs, hooligans and there will be fights in the stands.

“It’s starting to become ridiculous. Some people are there more to cause trouble than to create an atmosphere.

“Someone spat out their chewing gum at me. It [the match] was getting complicated. That’s why I wanted to stay calm. If I started to get angry about it, it could have destabilised me.”

His opponent Mpetshi Perricard, who won the title in Lyon last week to leap 51 ranking places into the world’s top 100, did not appear to think that the crowd had overstepped the mark – although he was not aware that someone had spat at Goffin.

“It was really nice to have so much support,” Mpetshi Perricard said.

“I had a lot in Lyon as well, but that was different because here the guys are really with you from first to the last point. It’s really very pleasant to have such an audience.

“I like it that they encouraged me. It helped me when I was broken in the fourth [set], and I would like to thank them for it. It’s really fantastic to have these guys there.”

But Goffin says he is not alone in his complaints and that the French Open stands out from other grand slams in terms of fan behaviour.

“A lot of people are complaining, a lot of umpires feel that there is a lot of disrespect,” Goffin added.

“This is the repeated a lot in the locker room and among the ATP authorities. We’re going to have to do something about that.

“I think it only happens in France. At Wimbledon, obviously, there’s not that. Or in Australia either. And at the US Open, it’s still rather quiet. Here [at Roland Garros], it’s really an unhealthy atmosphere.”

This atmosphere was awful, who boos someone that won purely because it was against someone French? At least he's facing Zverev tomorrow

All canceled apart from the two covered courts.

The weather doesn't look much better tomorrow either
It's not ideal is it and tbh with the weather not looking great for tomorrow either I doubt we will get all the second round matches finished. I mean the doubles hasn't even started yet either so they are going to be massively impacted by the scheduling as some pairs at this rate might have to play 2 or 3 times in one day.

Are the stands always this empty? With no other matches going on surely the two courts that have play should be packed?!?!

Osaka is doing amazing!

Carlos this afternoon wasn't wildly convincing.

The schedule has been announced for tomorrow and weather permitting 68 matches will be taking place. With rain forecast for tomorrow though I don't think all these matches will take place and as a result we will still be playing round 2 matches come Friday.
