Judy has protected her tweets now.

Might be just me but I saw it more that she was being sarcastic towards the journalist for saying it was astonishing? Because it’s hardly astonishing is it that she wants to concentrate more on the singles which is what Andy has always done so why are people assuming it’s a dig at Emma?

That's what I originally thought but the fact she didn't explain that after all the replies she was getting, maybe not? I hope it was sarcasm because otherwise it was a crappy thing to tweet
 
I think her never having played doubles probably was a factor as well, she joked she’d need a crash course after last nights match. Interesting that he asked her versus Katie Boulter. Emma has the grand slam but no experience in doubles, whereas Katie is still impressively British number 1 but at least has the experience playing doubles to require less training
 
I thought it was strange they did his presentation after his doubles match with Jamie when at that point he was entered into mixed as well.

Tim Henman said it seemed fitting to do it then as his wife and two of his children were there and his brother and Sue to present it. Maybe they knew all along the mixed might not go ahead ?!

I can’t see Judy having a dig. She probably deleted the tweet when it was misconstrued but then continued to get hate so went private. I follow her on instagram and when the statement from Emma was shared on there, Judy liked it and that was before this journalist said what he did. Judy is not a fan of sports journalists!
 
Katie Boulter doesn't really play doubles and when she does she's not that good. Our best doubles player is probably Harriet but she already had a partner.

The best doubles player is Heather Watson seeing as she’s actually won in the mixed at Wimbledon!

But like you say, Harriet and Heather both already have mixed doubles partners. Also, it’s probable with Andy’s injuries they might not get past round 1 and would lose out on prize money. Andy and Emma don’t need the money!
