I would love to see Emma win Wimbledon. She is playing well and it’s great to see, my dad is one of those ‘she’ll never do anything again after her US open win’ but he is well known for being wrong

Not just your dad but I love when people say this like it’s a small feat. She could have retired from sport after the US open and still achieved more than most in the sport ever will.

My other favourite is “she didn’t even have to play anyone good cause covid”, like she wasn’t a qualifier on her debut and any of the main draw would have been a challenge. Or if it was such an easy year why didn’t Barty, Sabalenka, Swiatek, Osaka etc who were entered win it?

Exactly. Who cares if she never wins anything again! As long as she is happy, healthy and enjoying herself that's all that should matter! What she did was amazing and most people can only ever dream of winning a slam.

my dad is often wrong he said AP McCoy would never win the Grand National and Andy Murray would never win Wimbledon. He also said Chris Harris would never win a speedway GP - all have won so, hopefully, Emma will prove my dad wrong again
