Lord does Emma not realise thereā€™s a fkin pandemic thatā€™s why youā€™ve got no midwifes coming to your damn house, how about you should have took better precautions to not have another sprog in a pandemic if you are gonna witch about stuff
I have to say I disagree with this. I got pregnant in august 2019. Had my baby May 2020. I didnā€™t choose to have a baby in a pandemic. The health care has been shocking due to COVID. My baby hasnā€™t been checked since she was a newborn and sheā€™s now almost 8 months. Itā€™s so wrong

100% agree with you. My little boy was born in May and Iā€™ve felt so lost with no support available. I know itā€™s not the services fault and there is a bigger picture but when youā€™re a mom of a tiny baby everything can feel overwhelming enough without having to take your tiny baby out of the house because they canā€™t come to your house or whatever.
I havenā€™t heard from my health visitor since my little one was 4 months old šŸ˜«

Are there no weigh in clinics open either? That's shocking I know there is a pandemic but surely you should be able to go somewhere for appointments safely. What about injections , I'm presuming they still have them?

Nope. No clinics open. Injections were all behind. Had to stand outside till they were ready for us. Couldnā€™t take any prams/car seats/bags etc in with us. Itā€™s not their fault but itā€™s been shocking.

Itā€™s been so hard hasnā€™t it! What date was your little boy born? I hope you had a good experience as much as you can!

Weigh clinics near me are appt only and they pretty much donā€™t want to make the appts unless there is real concern.
My baby had her injections as scheduled no concerns with them. Had my 5 and 14 day midwife check face to face then was discharged even though I had an infection in my stitches. HV came to see me on day 12. Other than that they called on her 6 week check that was it.
Iā€™ve struggled with breastfeeding due to tongue tie, the assessment process was so long as they couldnā€™t do more than one face to face so I ended up paying private to see a practitioner.
However I canā€™t say how much this is to covid as I donā€™t have any children pre covid? But Iā€™m assuming a lot of it is down to the pandemic.

This is absolutely shocking, Iā€™m a district nurse and weā€™re still providing a full service! PPE is available so full services should still be available... pisses me off thereā€™s so many health care professionals hiding at home with ā€˜proud to work for the nhsā€™ on their Facebook profile photos when they havenā€™t had any patient contact for 10 months šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

I mean a bit out of order your comment, accidents happen, trust me o didn't plan on having a baby in a pandemic but hey ho, as for midwifes mine still came out and I had my health visitor out Monday so don't know why hers isn't

She did say recently on a live that she had a job interview, so maybe she did get it. Wonder what it could be considering she doesnā€™t have much experience/qualifications

it didnā€™t take Charlie long to get a job ever since the bank of Brett has stopped paying the rent and bills etc! She had no excuse not to work prior to this as she was always palming H off to anyone who would take her. It could be a sales assistant job as you donā€™t really need experience/qualifications for that

Anyone else notice that H only had plain pasta with cheese on and Charlie has meatballs and sauce?
May not like them, my little one doesnā€™t like the texture of meatballs

Thinking about my last comment yes I do agree I was rather insensitive with the ā€œ donā€™t have a sprog in a pandemicā€ cause like you ladyā€™s have pointed out these things do happen so I apologise Girlys
