If she’s had a normal upbringing I imagine she won’t want to be part of their drama, if she ends up having access to the tm franchise, news etc etc which I can’t see why she wouldn’t

Totally agree , people just act like Carly was taken into care without a choice but she will see Brandon and Theresa as her family and that's her life. Tyler and Caitlin will be seen as distant relatives almost , they say she has a bond with her birth siblins but I imagine it's probably similar to what you would have with a cousin or something. Obviously this is just my guess and opinion and its hard to judge when we don't see them together
 
I feel for Carly as I do think she will have some connection to Tyler and Caitlin especially seeing them and her sisters all live together but their background is so dysfunctional and worlds away from how she is being raised. I’m not surprised Brandon and Teresa want to protect her and shield her from all that baggage. Imagine spending your whole life within a secure family unit with healthy relationships then going to an event with Butch, April etc it would be wild. 😂
 
Not meant to be a hateful or nasty post but does anyone else think Kail’s Issac is 🌈 .. Maybe I’m just stereotyping because of the pink nail varnish and because he speaks so feminine. Maybe kids are just more relaxed and expressive than when I was younger?

I think it’s 1 thing Kail should be applauded for. There are many parents who wouldn’t allow their child to freely be themselves and present however they want to present but Issac is clearly happy and able to be him/themselves

I guess it's just showing parents need to talk to their kids especially girls so they make good choices and not have kids young? Like the show tries to promote. Gary & Krisina had the chat with young Leah and I was surprised they did. But fair play to them. I do wonder what it's like for the kids at school.
 
I think the show makes them do it, all of the parents have looked genuinely uncomfortable talking about personal things with their kids, I think if they had the choice then they wouldn’t do it but have to bare in mind (the parents) they have to keep the views for the series to continue
 
The one kids whose privacy has been fairly well protected is Bentley. When there have been serious issues with Ryan discussed, and the producers bring up what they will do about telling Bentley…Maci has clearly stated to them that will need to happen off camera. It’s like she pre-empts and cuts off their expectations to see him react. The issues with Ryan have been real and aren’t generated for mtv camera so it must have affected Bentley that people at his school will be aware of it every time his father gets arrested. Rewatching old series and there is actually a lot of honesty in this whole family, some of the time I wonder why Jen and Larry kept filming considering what was going on, they don’t seem to have ever had any doubts about doing it each year. The only person who nearly pulled them all out of it was Maci (when she discover that Farrah had re-entered and didn’t want her child on a tv show with a porn star).

With the case of Leah…she doesn’t have a husband or a set of in-laws also filming…so all she has really is a sister to show on camera. That’s why she NEEDS to involve her daughters in conversations…to give some content to her empty storyline. She is very fake, she’s just trying to generate stories with their gay pride and writing a book on horses stuff…she’s probably learnt the hard way from earlier series that putting the truth on camera is destructive. She’s now treating it purely as a job and not showing much of her actual life events. Unfortunately that makes for boring content. Interesting that Miranda and Jeremy used to be shown and now don’t seem to be involved, Corey also doesn’t show much…meaning none of them are profiting from the show.

Also at old series pace currently being repeated on mtv uk. WTF were Dakota and Bristol thinking? They literally starting filming in the middle of a marriage breakdown and just bitched at each other for half a series and then disappeared. They surely knew that neither of them would come off good.

I wondered at the Bristol and Dakota thing. It totally came out of left field along
With chey. I think producers knew the girls were getting a voice and some would leave so they literally plucked from whatever they saw at the time. Maybe in the US certain ppl are showed ripe for picking/casting.
 
The Bristol and her husband scenes were wild. He was clearly having a full on breakdown on camera at one point. Unpopular opinion but I always liked Chey’s parts of the show since she joined. Couldn’t stand that Mackenzie always had to fast forward her parts. There’s a lot to say about Chey and all the weird stuff that’s gone on but always found her segments more fresh an entertaining compared to the other girls on OG. Better than watching Amber led out on her sofa with no custody or her kids saying she’s a ‘damn good mom’ 🤣😂 .
 
I think Chey was a quick casting. They needed to expand after Farrah left and needed to add two in case something didn’t work or another girl left mid season. Chey was an easy choice because her and Cory are already tv experienced so they didn’t need to spend time auditioning them. Plus the cast was all white (I think?) before that, and racial diversity with casting on tv shows was getting more attentional at that point. Thing is Chey didn’t represent the typical black girl outlook. She represented coming from money, spending most of her time planning parties for herself in her parents backyard. Ashley I think was brought in later to represent a more typical black girl outlook trying to raise herself into a better neighbourhood and education etc, something I think she picked up on herself in her own reaction to Chey not being able to relate to each other.

There’s been other races on 16 and pregnant but none of them were put on TM for some reason

Have any of you seen the podcast with Bone? Kail says you know when you’re done and she wasn’t done so at one point Bone agreed to carry a child for her and they were going to gender selection

Yes I found this very strange. Especially when they had openly fell out before for a long period and she said she was so attached to Lux she was devastated they didn’t talk. If you get that attached to her children who you haven’t carried and birthed why would being a surrogate for her be a good idea? Really bad idea in my opinion. Also why did she want a surrogate she’s had 6 healthy pregnancies? She can clearly carry herself!
