The more I think about Leah the more fake she seems. She was doing heroin with her father her few years ago…yet now is willing to cut him off publicly for using a slur word. She instead of just telling him she didn’t like to hear that language and didn’t agree with it, went to a huge extreme to make it into a massive issue and involve discussing it with her children and taking them on a pride march. All televised to humiliate her father, who if still a drug addict and not in full control of his senses may regret what he has said but then had no way to simply apologise or have the matter dropped.

Then the recent reunion show we had Drew/Nessa ask Ali about this book she is supposedly writing and she basically just said she likes horses. The girl clearly is not writing anything herself, it’s either a constructed storyline that they won’t follow through on or being written by a ghost… and her reaction to those questions wasn’t nerves it was cluelessness, she maybe even forgot she was supposed to be writing it by the look of panic on her.

Nothing about her working as a waitress makes any sense. She’s still living in a fancy house, that Jaylan bought and she wasn’t on the deeds, apparently has loads of tax debt. She’s earned millions from TM, yet now needs to wait tables for extra cash? She can make money from product endorsements if TM drop her.

Here’s my only guess at what’s happening. She’s got some financial issue that having a low wage will somehow help her with. Maybe to avoid paying her tax debt she is channeling all her TM income into a business account or maybe trust funds. Then if she is earning nothing that could be a problem if the girls’s fathers complain she doesn’t work intentionally so is asking for too much support money. She then could get a low paid job to show on paper that she is employed and that earning is then compared to the father’s earnings…meaning more child support is due. Jeremy’s wife/friends etc are angry for a reason, and I don’t think it’s just happenstance that this confrontation occurred at the restaurant…they have a problem with her taking that specific job for some reason.

I wonder if even Jaylan got away without a huge financial sting. He apparently has some secret (being gay is the obvious answer) that she is holding for him, yet he didn’t make her leave his house.

I think she agreed to keep his secret if he signed the house to her.
 
Like someone’s already pointed out above we don’t actually know what’s gone on. Why is Leah automatically getting made out to be some victim? You’re telling me loads of people are mad at her and wanting to start with her over nothing? It makes no sense. There is more to the story. I’m sure Jeremy hasn’t just decided randomly after all these years not together to want to ‘harass’ her. It’s also been made out and spun like he’s done it in an abusive partner type way yet his gf/wife was there too so it’s confusing. Leah is known to be a compulsive liar, she is shady as hell.

Yeah agree. We can make any story here, not allow him to see Addie, slagging him and gf/wife off. But it's all a little weird. You usually get angry over something but add drink to it usually ends up worse. I am sure we'll hear more.

My babe was a valentine’s baby, and was due 5th November! 👀
 
Well…if it’s true that Rio is not Elijah’s…that’s 7 children by FIVE fathers, and the ratio would be WORSE if she hadn’t had twins.

There’s having bad luck in relationships…and there’s being a slut. I know which my money would be on. She does have a habit of getting pregnant very quickly with a new partner, and recently it appears there wasn’t even a gap between partners.

It would be a disgrace if TM franchise brought her back, given that their supposed aim was to curb teen pregnancy not encourage it. Even though Kail can afford to feed 7 kids so they aren’t necessarily harmed by her promiscuity, it’s not a life choice that MTV should be promoting and helping to fund.

Even though Chelsea and Maci at times can lead dull lives…at least they represent sensible role models of having made the wrong choice of man as a teenager and learned the hard way that choosing the wrong father for a child has long term consequences, causing them to learn from that to make better choices for husbands/more children. Their stories are the ones that show the problem with teen pregnancies that should be avoided…making young girls think harder about the maturity of the man before making that huge lifelong attachment to someone who will be a deadbeat father. Even Jenelle is a better candidate for the show that Kail, her situation showed the damage that can be done to a child when the mother is not in a stable situation.

I like Maci and Chelsea. It can’t be a coincidence the two of them had the most normal upbringings with the least complicated families. I just think it shows how important it is having good role models around you
 
The teen I’m most intrigued about is Carly. Brandon and Teresa’s ability to raise her as part of a normal family has been hampered by the show. She’s not far off being an adult now, and will she decide to distance herself from Catelynn and Tyler and focus on college and having a normal life under her parent’s guidance….or will she use her adult freedom to be in regular contact with them and do so publicly?

Carly has had the most confusing childhood maybe of all the kids on the show. It’s completely abnormal for an adopted child to be able to watch their birth parents on tv year after year, and watch them get married and have more children, plus all their making it very public their struggles to communicate and get the contact with her that they wanted. Having the ability to look back over and pick through every bit of it could be very damaging if she comes into a mindset of thinking her adoptive parents didn’t make the right choices regards the visits being reduced and other contact etc compared to what her birth parents were asking for. She also as a teenager may not be able to distinguish very well the difference between the life they are able to provide for their younger children and the different outcome that may have been if they had kept her. They are the only couple from the show to have remained together, so the fact that they decided they were not fit to raise a child as teenagers is a bit at odds with where they have ended up. Others on the show have raised a child almost single-handedly or with a stepparent and done it well, Gary, Maci, Chelsea in particular.

Having an open adoption process filmed in this way, I don’t think has been done before, the implications for Carly aren’t clear. Sadly I think only her adoptive parents actually care, it’s clear Tyler only cares about being a reality star, and Catelynn will do whatever is needed to hold onto her marriage. Tyler’s tears after a Meetup are real, but that’s a moment of emotion…the conversation has been shown before that given the choice he would choose being on tv over maintaining a relationship with Brandon and Teresa (and by extension Carly).

I would say they have been an advert for CLOSED adoption, anyone viewing this from the adoptive parents angle will see the pressure having the birth parents able to put them under as a constant stressor. Even if not on a tv show, a birth parent could be talking on social media etc doing similar things. The decent thing to do would have been for MTV to have gotten the adoptive parents permission for all of this to be shown on camera, but of course, they don’t care about Carly’s welfare either.

The Carly thing I think about too. So many people say that when she’s 18 she’ll run back to catelynn and Tyler but I don’t think she will. If she’s had a normal upbringing I imagine she won’t want to be part of their drama, if she ends up having access to the tm franchise, news etc etc which I can’t see why she wouldn’t
