I’m catching up as I’ve been on holiday but I have to say I thought from here that when Marliya got upset being dropped off at Maggie’s that Manley had been a dick but watching it I don’t think he meant anything horrible by his “just go with Mummy then” comment! I’m not a Manley defender in the slightest but I don’t think the comment was meant maliciously or bitterly

I don’t understand why they keep Amber on the show, her story line has been the exact same for 9 seasons, no progression, just an out of control child (then another), messy house, arguing with Ste, saying she wants to become a carer but never does, more arguing with ste. Literally that’s all her segments consist of? I usually skip her parts because it’s like living in the Truman show.

also does anyone know why Shannon didn’t come back?
 
@icantbelieveitsnotbutter! I findAmber weirdly disassociated. Like she says a few pre-prepared voiceover things to sound semi-normal.

then the camera for last 8y shown mess and her totally disengaged. Its like shes a lazy sister (or even step sister!) half the time. Was wondering the other day is she is a secret painkiller addict or something to explain the laziness and disassociation.

like sendint two lively boys to bed with You Tube on iPad any hours? With dummy and nappy age 5? She has no job!! Why is she not reading them books, doing quiet wind down after an evening of sports at the park (or a jog/ bike ride) if so energetic. This stuff is so easy!! These are older children.

i think Brooklyn will ask to move in with ste and his grandad soon.. hes not stupid .. him asking for a normal life is a sign he recognising her inadequacies and has seen other options IMO.

i bet ste house is still tidy and well organised with nice meals (as shown before).

those boys will want to get away from her I think. Shes failing. Away from Blackpool (wealthier parts of UK) these kids would be skating near SS involvement I believe. Id be horrified if my kids friends lived and were parented like this and may report myself.

This stuff does seem easy to us but I doubt that’s what Amber ever saw growing up and genuinely doesn’t know any different

You can just tell her mum was focused on chasing fresh 🍆 constantly by the way she acts now and had men in and out Amber’s life/ neglected her. She’s pretty much neglecting her boys too. I think part of the problem too could be that she’s depressed, there’s so many signs. Literally just started watching the latest ep now and she said everyone who’s been in her house had to get checked over after a gas leak - these people were her boys, Ste and her mum. Where’s her friends? Or even other family members? She seems so isolated. The mess and laziness is another huge sign of course

Sassi and Darren are going to completely ruin that poor girls self esteem. Poor girl is crying telling them she’s trying only to be told it’s not good enough. Why not get her extra tutoring or support if you’re not willing to sit down with her calmly to help her yourself. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from them.
Space raiders behaviour is so abusive, has no issues until Mia wants to introduce Marliya to Olly then all of a sudden he wants to see his daughter more. He’s a joke. It did make me laugh that Mia and Olly are so rocky and then she says she feels ready to introduce them. I hope for poor Marliya’s sake that they’ve figured stuff out by now, she’s had too much change in her life already.
Can’t even comment on Chloe and Jordan’s parenting as Marley wasn’t even seen in this episode

Finally catching up so brace yourself for all the quotes 🤣 but nah if a kid was violent towards mine and the parent sat there like a head, I’m telling that kid off idc! I’ve done it at parks, soft plays etc. it’s mental the amount of tit parents there are that don’t bat an eyelid to their own kids’ behaviour! And people wonder why they’re so difficult. It’s even worse that they’re family who are living with them temporarily, good on Beth for trying to nip it in the bud early

Glad someone said this! My bf’s best friend committed suicide years ago and it affects him badlyyyyy to this day. I related (for the first time) to everything Chloe was saying/ feeling. It’s horrible seeing your partner go through something like this and feeling helpless

Yes, it took her 4 years and to some (even myself) that is quite long for one exam but we don’t know what went on behind the scenes, maybe nothing went on and she just couldn’t pass it. The fact you’re saying who even cares about GCSE’s in your mid 20’s shows you have no idea what it is to have to study for something to get into the career you want to pursue. I’m 20 and I’m pursuing education and law. I didn’t get to sit my exams when I graduated school due to Covid and didn’t get what I needed in maths so eventually will have to sit the maths exam again. It won’t take me 4 years BUT everyone’s journey is different.

I get what you mean and this is probably gonna sound harsh too but if it’s taking her 4 years to get a maths gcse, then academia isn’t for her. If it’s needed for the career she wants then she’s most likely gonna struggle on the job. The entry criteria is there for a reason…
