Let's be honest though regardless of Mias behaviour Manley is only having a go and thinking of an excuse to say tit to Mia because he's jealous. Mia could have the most perfect relationship and he would still say the same. His words were something like "Does Marliya want to meet a random man or spend the weekend with me?" That to me says it's about jealousy and control

Z’s behaviour sounds age appropriate, particularly given the way Darren and Sassi would carry on in front of her. They can’t even control their own behaviour, how do they expect a 6 year old to do it. Sassi is really lacking in empathy and emotional intelligence.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Hudson and Brooklyns behaviour is as a result of trauma. They may or may not have ADHD, but trauma and ADHD can have similar symptoms. The arguments that Ste and Amber would have in front of them as young children would be terrifying. Also Amber often seems to shut down emotionally after/during the arguments, so she wouldn’t be present for the boys. It makes sense that they seek control, can’t regulate their emotions (look at their parents) and are constantly seeking ‘attention’ (actually it’s connection they’re seeking). Amber and Ste are probably doing the best they can based off their own childhood experiences and understanding of kids, and Amber’s mental health difficulties, but I hope they get some more support around parenting in a way to support child development and emotion and attachment needs.

I assume Hudson has heard them say I hate you during arguments for him to say it when being told off

Mia is pathetic with Olly. Getting on my nerves with that storyline but Manley pulled a typical abuser tactic, funny how he only told her he needed to talk to her about something after she’d brought up M meeting Olly.. and then said he doesn’t have time to talk about it. That’s so she has to sit on it and worry what it is plus he needed time to think of an issue but he’s that thick he couldn’t do it on the spot hence the phone call of him kicking off

I agree with everything you have said about Amber. I’ve never bought Ste’s Disney dad act. I know there are lots on here who hold the view she should try and get help but from who? Both her mum and Ste we’re happy for her and her children to return to a condemned house which had nearly poisoned them all hours previously, I thought Kirsty was a true friend to Amber in that episode.

Amber does try her Insta is a combination of taking her children out or walking in fresh air which I think is good for her piece of mind.

Life is always going to be harder for Amber because no one will help her And you can see she’s exhausted and overwhelmed by the circumstances. I’m out here cheering for her more than any of the mums because when she finds her spirit, she really Will have done it on her own.
 
Being a parent does not come with a manual, it is a job for their life and one of the hardest roles to fulfil. Apart from providing the basics ie love, a home, food etc they need consistent boundaries, reassurance, praise and more lol.
I do wonder if having the film crew present alters their routines and behaviours, adults and children,there again I don't follow the mums on social media.
 
Im finding this series hard to watch its very negative.

After 6-7yrs none of the mims have a career or proper job (eg with holiday pay, pension) and theyre all late 20s now. Nobody had education beyond GCSE. Sassi doesnt even have her kid half the time but no job? What a loser.

Of all the original dads shown, only one has consistently had a projob (Darren). Shocking considering these are young men in their prime, and the country has so many jobs and training opps.

All the kids shown seem regular kids (except perhaps Brooklyn but not convinced ADHD more poor parenting/ emotional abuse I think). Yet at least 3 families are publicly neglecting and emotionally abusing their kids - marlyia is all over the place no consistency or security, hearing abuse; zenaya is publicly abused by both parents who dont even know what theyre doing or how to ask for help for z/ their own support for her; brooklyn & hudson are living in poverty and chaos with a mother who cant cope wnd a dad that abuses her (but does often seem more capable)

Even Marley, with most stable background snd best likely outcome, seems to have no books read to him, no attention given or kid-specific treatment (eg no swings in garden, no playdates, not geared towards him other than for insta).

Would like to see megan & tel as wonder if her higher emotional intelligence and more stable set up (eg better relationship witj dylan & shannon, nice kids holidays, focus on kids always from megan) and her attempt at a small career - would mean she is tje most successful mother at present.

Personally none of these women except megan and sometimes chloe demonstrate any mothering.

How would any of us know Marley or any of those kids don’t have playdates?
I imagine they do but the other parents want their kids kept private as they should

Getting a murderer for a boyfriend isn’t focusing on your kids 100% either IMO

It's only a snapshot of their day to day life tbf...even in the first episode it showed Marliya at the playground, B&H at the beach, Zanaya playing with a football and Marley has toys and swing set in the back garden

I get where you’re coming from with most of this, but you can do well without higher education and as for employment, being self-employed can be very lucrative. I agree they all seem very stagnant though although I don’t think Megan is great living in her tiny flat and previously dating a murderer…
 
@petalpetal5381 agree its just like watching people trapped/ stagnated from 7yrs ago? Quite weird tbh

Thought Mia would be living in decent house with partner and another baby and possible mainstream tv/ radio job by now

Also thought Amber would calm down, get a proper FT job, make work friends (maybe caring type job) and be happier with a new partner and better home

Never expected Sassi to just stagnate into a pit of heartbreak. Shes not clever but has a lot of energy. Wonder why she doesnt try a sociable active job eg bar, restaurant waitress) and get out more and have more friends. Or move away if nothing in that city.

Its like theyve just stagnated and accepted their lots and not ambitious at all. Very sad.
