I’m new to all this, was advised I read up, but I’ve bin reading ALL comments and am appalled! Have a friend who is an ex affiliate, who DIDNT kno, like me, and didn’t won’t to be ‘drawn in’ until recently! They won’t comment in here but HAS been reading and wants me to pass on that it’s unfair to assume that they knew ‘bout the situ or ‘bout the ‘inner circle’ as I can assure yous they did not! Feeling appalled at HWMNBN, 😫

Completely agree, I know an ex affiliate also and they got next to zero support or help. Are we really surprised about this either, if there was a affiliate WhatsApp then not all was "privileged" but think it's kinda obvious that some were favoured over others and the favourites regularly changed.

Coming from a friend of one of the ‘favoured’ ex affiliates, they assure me, there was no affiliate WhatsApp group that they knew of!

They must have been mad to do it for nothing!!
Promises of fortune and glory

Think about it, if you’re someone with low self esteem, probably overweight or have been overweight you’ve got a millionaire with 400k followers on fb lovebombing you telling you how amazing you are and that if you stick with him you’ll be destined for greatness and you’ll be able to retire young with all the money you’ll get. When you’ve been used to having not much. You’ll go along with it. It’s very typical narc behaviour but when you’re in the trap you don’t see it and you’re desperate for it to all be true. I feel for them I really do. It’s not nice. He’s tried to put a positive spin on the way he’s done it but it’s awful. He has enough money that he could’ve given them some kind of thank you bonus I’m sure.

It was all promises, *when we get big*when we get big*when we get big* and there are so many personal journey pages they was told well if you don't someone else will *but we want YOU to make it big* but God forbid anyone direct a member to a then official affiliate in pod because that was an official warning! *but they want them to make it big?!?*

He's actually more of a bastard than I thought he was, evil actually!!

So if the affiliates will ‘benefit more going it alone’ as they are ‘restricting their growth’ are they allowed to set up on their own with a calorie counting club with subscriptions of their own ? I imagine they have had to sign to say they will not do exactly that, or discuss anything related to the company. Just wondering what it is they are expected to go out and do to grow, if they do have restrications put on them ?

That's an interesting question, when the affiliate program was very 1st launched I looked at the rules out of interest and if I remember right it was they owned your page for 6 months, can't set up your own business in same field for 2 years and not allowed to talk about them for 5 years but now they have been released I wonder if that's retracted 🤔

All sounds a bit extreme for a crappy slimming group solely relying on fb and mfp!! He must have a lot of stuff he wants kept hush hush !!

They can run their own business and charge. He does not own the biology of calorie deficit for weight loss. He doesn't own doing steps, exercise, or mental health strategies to cope. I was teaching it 20 years ago along with healthier cooking classes. I am still insured and qualified in nutrition, exercise, PT, psychology and counselling among other things. He cannot stop anyone from writing and delivering their own content whether it is free or charged for.

No way is that legal if you really look into it. Calorie deficit is the bare bones, the science of weight loss. He doesn't own the bodies science of weight loss, muscle building or anything else. Slimming world, weight watchers, cutting down what you eat, bariatric surgery, eating the same but exercising more all have one thing in common that is consuming less energy or using more energy than you have available from food to get a loss of weight. He is just an online weight loss consultant. He owns RH not fat loss or activity. Otherwise universities and colleges couldn't charge tuition fees for fitness, and nutrition degrees that use calorie deficit and steps before going deeper into physiology and biology because he owns the rights 🤣

It is a glorified science based slimming club that uses bullying, mental and emotional abuse of members in the ruse of honesty, care, and (tough) love. If members stepped back and asked themselves if this was an actual relationship with someone would the actions of the person or people towards them be okay? Or if their friend, son, daughter, mother, father was in a relationship like this would they think it was normal? If not then why is it okay just because it is disguised as honest coaching?
Why are there so many paying members asking for advice in other similar free groups when they pay for help, coaching and the ability to get answers to their questions?
Because they are scared that they will be berrated in private then used as an example in a video. Or kicked out the FB paid group and left to go alone with just the free MFP while still paying the group and needing support. Mass Stockholm syndrome, vulnerable where weight is concerned people being enticed in and preyed on.
Nothing wrong with asking questions else where as long as it is not out of fear of asking the service provider you are willingly or unwillingly paying for. It is like paying sky for your internet service but phoning talk talk if you need issues resolving.
Wonder if MFP get a percentage or if they even know he piggy backs them for profit, offering very little else.

Non compete clauses are legal and fairly common so depending on what contract was signed, it can be enforced. They are quite common in certain industries to stop people joining an organisation, then forming their own company and taking all the clients/suppliers/IP. It’ll often be time limited so you can’t do anything in the first 6 months after leaving. But it can be hard to enforce, so the person who has left could prove the contract was never valid in the first place, for example. Just a bit of a legal geek here!
