Something about this party just makes me feel dead queasy? Like I get Taylor is a very key component to the eras tour but like…Travis in ICDIWABH happened one time yet the dancers and band were there every night yet he puts the suit on as if he did it all?
idk I just feel like Taylor was being used a prop here for Travis to get something off it and idk what it is but I do a bigger ick with each photo
 
I think we’re not giving Taylor her agency here either, she clearly loves it or was ok with it enough that pictures got leaked. You don’t become a billionaire, especially as a celebrity without having an inflated sense of your own importance.

I sound like I’m down on her a lot lately. I’m not, I love her music and I wish her well. But billionaires simply shouldn’t exist 🤷🏻‍♀️

From the photos out so far it doesn’t look like it. Could maybe use the argument that they’ve been away from their families for so long that they didn’t want to pull them away again for the night, but in that case don’t call it an eras tour party and just call it a birthday party.

I went to London N1 (best night of my life) and I have a friend who went to London N3 (the Travis on stage show). She text me afterwards saying 'I bet you wish you went tonight instead! We got Travis!!'

I was like gal... I got my dream surprise songs and you got the boyfriend on stage. The Eras tour is supposed to be about the MUSIC, not who she's dating. I wouldn't want to come away from the show with my lasting memory being of Taylor's boyfriend and not her music.

Oh and their surprise song was the Gracie Abrams duet that nobody knew the words to because it had only been out for less than a week girl bye

I just hope that she is actually happy with all of this and not just took in by the big gesture, as we all know she wanted “her love to be celebrated” but some of it is coming across as her being a little used for being “Taylor Swift” I know I champion Joe a lot on here and I don’t know what went on between them he could have been a tit to her for all I know, but I really feel like he was the one person in her life that didn’t see her as a commodity and to further himself. I think even her parents, especially shifty Scott, see her more as a brand than a person most of the time, so really has she got anyone around her now who isn’t using her for something. Doesn’t seem likely!
 
The thing about our perception of Taylor is that we are coming at it from a normal person perspective. She is not normal in her life and never has been, not even as a teenager really. So, while we might hate a party like that and a boyfriend like hers, she might adore it. Nobody can deny the relationship has been great PR and perhaps that makes her feel good. Maybe it’s more important to her to show a positive image to the world than finding “the one”.
 
Sorry to derail but I had a dream last night that I was at the eras tour (she came out in purple) and she hurt her foot so whilst she waited for it to feel better (??) she stood at the side of the stage and I was handed a microphone and we chatted for 10 minutes. I didn’t even ask her important questions I was telling her about a new oodie I’ve got that I love and telling her about the family gossip
 
My hoody and t-shirt arrived from the US store yesterday, my husband said the t-shirt is really nice quality and the hoody is Def oversized (I got a medium and it's bigger than my medium quarter zip) but sooo soft and snuggly 💖💖

I went to London N1 and my work friend went to London N3, she was so disappointed with the surprise songs and the Travis appearance and then even more annoyed with the great picks that followed N4-N8. I genuinely think London N3 was the worst to be at for SS but some people act like Travis popping up was the highlight of the entire tour.

I bought a S and a M and need to send one back but I am deliberating. The M is better on the boobs but is like a dress!

Hmm I was at N3 and I’d personally say N2 was the worst. I was lowkey fuming about Gracie lol but my no.1 songs I wanted were IION x OOTW or Clean as it’s my favourite song and I got all 3, so I was v happy with that.

I did scream when Travis came out as it was so like wtf? but I am firmly in the camp that I wish she didn’t intertwine him with the eras tour so much and I too dislike that that’s what N3 is remembered for. Sometimes it felt like she was doing the show for him rather than the fans. I find it sooo jarring when we’re screaming ‘duck the patriarchy’ and Taylor makes comments about people talking about her relationships or speeches like the woman in music award one, like girl you can’t complain but then also shoehorn your man into everything you’re doing. Pick a lane.

I also take back my comment about the party not being weird. The more photos I see, it’s actually really quite weird
