@grannypants if I could like your comment a thousand times I would.

To me it's so natural she's not over Joe not just because it was a long and serious relationship but because she gave herself zero time to grieve the relationship. Yes, she was on tour, she couldn't do a hermit weekend with a tub of ice cream like the rest of us. But she just jumped on to Matty and Travis like Joe had meant nothing and put on the "oh I'm fine and I totally wanted this" act when we could all see it was a lie. It ended up being to her detriment.

Anyway, enjoy your single time, grannypants! I know I am 😜

I agree, she is one of these people that seems to have to be in a relationship. Maybe part of it is to do with song writing and having a muse at all times for fear of losing success or inspiration? Or else it’s just being wildly insecure.
When she originally released 1989 she was saying it was a song about moving cities and friendship and her first album not about boys but actually most the album was about boys.
I think it could be down to feeling like a failure as you said. It’s like a status symbol some people feel to be in a relationship. It’s sad because with her success it would make her an even better role model to say you can do this on your own.

As much as I dislike travis, I do feel bad for him. Imagine being in a relationship for 6 months with someone who’s still hung up on an ex

I feel like he's a) too dumb to notice like you said b) too in it for the exposure to care.

For him, all publicity is good publicity. Even if they break up and she writes about him, he'll get to talk about it on his podcast and keep taking in views from her fans.

i started to try and type something like this but I couldn’t get the words right!
She clearly loves love and relationships etc, and I think you might be right that everything else is just….wild. Like maybe she thinks that’s the norm and what she should be doing? (I know her relationship is far from the norm 😂 but hopefully you know what I mean)

Remember when the rumours first leaked about Matty and she was on stage saying it was the happiest she’s ever been in all aspects of her life, that was so cringe.
Like in one way it’s tough having your falling apart played out in the worlds stage (quite literally).

I do hope she is actually happy with Travis, I try and hold back my criticism of them in the hope she might actually have found the one. But I have the gut feeling she is just trying to fill the Joe shaped hole in her heart.

This reminds me of a conversation I’ve been having with my 15 year old, who was asking what I thought TTPD would be like, and I replied ‘don’t ask me I was expecting Carole King and Fleetwood Mac based on that Midnights monologue…..and we got “Karma is a cat purring on my lap cause it loves me’😬😆 No shade there (well just a smidge) but seriously here’s me expecting to be hearing about these 13 sleepless nights of gut wrenching Shakespearean lyrics sounding like Landslides and Where you leeead to soothe my Gilmore girls loving soul, and Karma and Lavender haze comes along! 😁

He's a bad guy because his maturity and advocacy for causes regardless of the risk to his career makes her look 💩 in comparison. Therefore, the Swifties must twist the narrative, find fault and hate him because nobody makes their girl look bad!!
