Said it before but the surprise song choices to promote the album are giving “it’s been a good relationship and I miss you and I’m heartbroken”. It’s done in a weirdly respectful and mature way too

…and then you look at how she’s shoving the new relationship in everyone’s face. Then the cover for this variant and it’s just icky imo. If Joe was struggling with his mental health as it seems to have been suggested a few times, coming out with “you don’t get to tell me about sad” is veryyyy questionable
 
You guys, I know I’ve said it before but it drives me mad how the fandom keep obsessing over that video of Joe “dragging” her to the car. We have zero context for what was happening in that video. To me it looks like her security are freaking out as well and that they wanted her in the car asap. There could have been a security alert and Joe was trying to protect her and her into the car. We just don’t know. So all these fans going on about it when we know nothing. It annoys me so much when I keep seeing people dragging Joe for it all over Twitter. They’ll be dragging Travis in a few month for being overbearing. I needed to get that out and I know you’ll understand!😅❤️

If she did it anonymously then people would probably say she never donates anything. I don’t mind she left her name

I find it strange that she donated 50k then an hour later another 50k, is there a limit of how much you can donate at a time?
 
Joe was by far her most stable and grown up relationship. They lived together and he had much more of a 'normal' life than any of her previous exes.

This is the man who made love golden, who loved her like she was brand new. She threw her sword down and lived in peace.

Youre not going to be ok after that breaks down.

However lets face it, Taylor was never going to have an amicable split. Even after 6 years she was never going to say we're just not compatible long term. The relationship has run its course. Joe has to be the emotionally unavailable twit who was more at fault than never in the wrong Taylor. Which begs the question who is Joe? Is he the man who inspired half of Rep and Lover and Invisible String and Hoax. Or is he the man who kept her locked up and deprived her of marriage and who may or may not have inspired Poets.

Or is he somewhere in between and actually humans are inherently flawed and both of them have contributed to the breakdown of their relationship. We wont really hear that side of it though. And Im sorry when she sings about her own flaws it doesnt seem genuine or that she believes its actually a problem. pathological people pleaser....

Fwiw I love her music but recently Im really turned off by who she is as a person.

Taylor has said that Tolerate It was based on Daphne Du Maurier's Rebecca, a book about a man marrying a much younger woman from a different class to him, while he and everyone around him are obsessed with his first wife Rebecca (it's an excellent Gothic novel and the Hitchcock film is amazing-the netflix film that came out during the pandemic is awful). I've seen people say Happiness is based on the breakdown of her best friend's marriage but to my knowledge, Taylor never said anything about it.

Obviously as soon as the break up with Joe was announced, people started reading songs that were previously not thought to be as autobiographical as more autobiographical but I doubt we'll ever know for sure.
 
I’m clearly an emotional wreck tonight but something about the juxtaposition of her singing YLM and looking quite pained about it with the crowd cheering when they realise that’s what she’s playing really got me in the feels.

Like it must be so odd to be singing about your emotional pain and for people to be cheering. I know she’s fine with it or she wouldn’t play it but it just feels really sad.

I clearly need to go to sleep bc I have cried at about 6 different tik toks in addition to epiphany 😅
