Taylor confirmed as being the CORNIEST person 💀

The part about her mom sobbing after Taylor couldn't go on the Kenny Chesney tour, and the part about her dad suggesting the 'cut out the middleman' angle of the Eras movie reminded me of people here talking about how involved her parents are.

Agree. I think there was an overlap as well.

The tell for me that her and Joe weren't fully over but suddenly were was Tree speaking to People Magazine and other friendly outlets the first weekend of tour basically being like “they’re fine, don’t gossip. Joe WILL be coming to see a show soon” And then 2 weeks later the official split announcement went out.

My take is things weren’t good for a while, Joe pulled the plug with his side confirming the breakup, it took Taylor by surprise, she’s been fuming with Joe since and she called Matty up because she knew it would annoy Joe as Matty was probably a bone of contention with them before.
 
The thing that stood out to me was her running on the treadmill singing the songs for tour - no wonder she looks amazing!! I literally could never, I’d probably die 😂😅

Joe and Taylor were done by March or if not, him not turning up to the opening night of the Eras Tour was the final nail in the coffin. I know they were “private” but it was so freaking weird (on both their parts!) he was never there for her huge moments like her honorary degree, the Grammys and opening night of a huge tour.

What I find even weirder was his family went. His family went to her NYU graduation, his mum was at the All Too Well premiere. So it’s kind of like he sent his family instead sometimes but why couldn’t he be there? I understand he could be working but he wasn’t exactly booked and busy at these times…?

He was at the Grammys after party, so he might’ve been at the Grammys too.
In terms of the honorary degree, i feel like that was mainly a PR move? She didn’t actually earn an a degree (don’t wanna be a witch and say it doesn’t count, but it also kind of doesn’t)
I think by the opening night their relationship was very very rocky and maybe they weren’t together at that point.

To be fair we don’t know whether they supported each other in private. I could see that being more meaningful than public support that seems to be mainly for the press and audience

I think the initial reports were that they had been on and off for a while and she expected they’d get back together. He broke it off officially and that’s why she was so upset with him. With the way she’s behaving I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s indeed the case and that’s the reason she seems to have a grudge against him - and of course the possible moving on

Paps which she/her team called... They don't hang out there. They didn't follow her from her house to walk around with Margaret and to the studio or the studio, walk with Margaret or whatever order there is. New York as a whoke let her walk with Margaret. That was the point of my post. But if we're gonna be willfully obtuse I don't see the point of engaging in conversation.

That part had me eye rolling so hard. Do you think her brother is bitter that Mom and Dad never put any efforts into his career but moved mountains for Taylor?

I don't know if bitter but I do hope he doesn't share his sister's aversion towards therapy because I can imagine growing up under THAT shadow would be devastating. Like I don't know what he does these days, I know he tried to act, but even if that had taken off he would have had to be bigger than Leo DiCaprio to hold a candle to his sister's success. That will mess you up real good.

Yeah exactly. I remember reading Idina Menzel‘s little sisters book. She had/has major issues from growing up in her sisters shadow and honestly it made for uncomfortable reading and Idina started singing young but her parents definitely weren’t as pushy as the Swifts but I can imagine how difficult it would be growing up with a sibling like that.
