Did Jess go to boarding school? That’s the *true* British upper class choiceI suppose the kid will be going to private school anyway, so it doesn't matter where she lives when they have to apply

For me, no fashion/lifestyle influencer could ever bring enough to the table for me to pay for it. That’s mindless scrolling for me. I’m past the age to watch an entire video anyway.I have no problem with Patreon if you're getting extra content or really enjoy the creator, but it's absolutely mad to me that some people are offering "sneak peaks" at content. It's such an obvious scam. Just wait a couple of days and save your cash!
For me the appeal would be if it was someone who really put a lot of thought and effort into content I thought was valuable, then paying for the patreon might be a way to support an artist/creator even though I don't have to. But someone like Jess who doesn't provide very meaningful or useful content and only provides it at her leisure does not inspire me to give her my money. For me, no fashion/lifestyle influencer could ever bring enough to the table for me to pay for it. I’m not bothered by her being privileged enough not to have to work, it’s the complete lack of awareness of how easy she has it and how lucky she is that gets me. Nobody can help being born into fortunate circumstances, but Jess doesn’t seem to understand how lucky she is. I do wonder if she’s really still close to her uni friends? I know she went to one of them’s wedding a while back but I feel like if they’re all working and living normal lives, they can’t have much in common with her and therefore what the fuck do they talk about? She can’t even drum up some interesting conversation for a vlog!I thought her first vlogtober was quite dull - mostly talk no show and a bit rambley.
I find her difficult to watch now too as I'm so burnt out from working full time and how life currently is, cost of living crisis etc. And she just has it so easy in comparison and doesn't even make the most of it. I know wealth doesn't mean you're immune for struggles but still. I think I'll finally give up on her content.
I wouldn't worry, I don't think she's organized enough to line that upIf every day of Vlogtober is going to be a different ad then count me out
I think she sees it as a job since she's a "booktuber" but imo her content doesn't actually line up with what real booktubers produce. All she ever gives in her book videos are rambly thoughts on them, not in depth analyses or anything that would require the level of note taking that she does. Vs other content creators who will do loads of videos just analyzing a single book/series, comparing characters and themes between books, etc.A haircut is "not in her budget" while she lives in her mum's house for free and the nanny looks after her child lmao
Also the way she reads for pleasure is so bizarre. She's set it up like a proper desk job as if she's still in uni. Taking notes for every page seems so excessive. Very clear that she treats 5 hours of reading as her full-time job when for most of us that would be a lazy weekend afternoon.

yeah I noticed it looked like she as making notes on something on every.single.page. Like, who could be bothered to do that? I do take the occasional note when reading more high brow books so I can gather my thoughts a bit better at the end but I feel like it would be literal torture to do that on every damn page. And like others have said, her analyses of the books are always so surface level and rambly so what’s is she writing in these notes?!A haircut is "not in her budget" while she lives in her mum's house for free and the nanny looks after her child lmao

Could you cite some booktubers that do deep analysis, please? I´m in constant search for those, but only find people who sumarize the plot and say if liked the book or notI think she sees it as a job since she's a "booktuber" but imo her content doesn't actually line up with what real booktubers produce.
