I love Whitney, she’s up there as one of the best female islanders for me.
I’ll be honest though I feel sorry for Whitney. She went in being herself, all that sass and confidence and jokes. At some point Maya fuckin Jama started telling her she was a fan favourite and that’s obviously going to be a head duck for her. Second guessing every move / opinion etc incase she puts the public off.

Then she’s been announced as favourite couple in a vote and there’s a GIANT spotlight on her inside and outside the villa . I do feel sorry for her, she doesn’t know herself probably at this stage in what’s the right or natural reaction to things.

I like Whitney but I don’t feel sorry for her, the woman is positively loaded with emotional intelligence which should enable her to get past the way production has set her up by subtly informing her via Maya she is popular and, then in front of everyone declaring her the favourite, I sympathise in that she’s been set up but am surprised at how she’s handled the aftermath, she left it far too long to close it properly with Ella,

Otherwise totally agree re Locran. His mouth is saying he’s always got Witney’s back but his face is saying “how the duck did I get here, can we rewind to Casa”😳

There was a bit with Lochan last night when, after Whitney and Ella came back, he asked her if everything was resolved. Whitney said no and his face was such a picture 😂. He just sort of glazed over in resignation.

And that tictok - Molly earlier having the nerve to tell Zach she would be too ashamed of him to introduce him to her family like he was the embarrassing one 😂

I came across this earlier.. I'm neither team Ella or Whitney. I'm team shut the duck up there's one week left grind yer teeth but I thought I'd share anyway.
 
When Molly and Zach were playing the honesty game I thought they were quite cute (cringey too) but they both vibes off each other and that weird hand shake the other day - I think despite them being different they do seem quite well suited. I don’t think he’s going to be bothered about her cringey tick tocks and she is beautiful in a natural way - I just think she’s rubbed some people up the wrong way

And Whitney’s downfall was when she stopped just giving sound advice and started stating everything she said was fact…

Basically, he said that this is the first thing Whitney has done wrong and she's getting rinsed for it. Whereas the others have consistently behaved badly. He says that black women are held to a much higher standard and the minute they back themselves they are categorised as angry black woman and the world comes down on them.
This is something you can only appreciate as a black woman. I am mixed race and even I'm far removed from it. It doesn't happen to black men either.

What’s scary is how loved Whitney was up until her argument with Ella and I’ve been seeing so many nasty comments, many with racial undertones, saying that Whitney needs to go and that she has an attitude problem, some even going far to make fat shaming comments when she has a killer figure. Out of the two I would have said Ella is the most problematic and her along with Tyrique have been insufferable. Like another person mentioned, Tyrique has been problematic throughout the show, including his treatment of Scott, but I don’t see people attacking him the way they’ve attacked Whitney. Also, Whitney has always been level-headed and articulate anytime there’s been an argument yet I’m still seeing comments calling her an angry black woman.

Whitney normally has the patience of a Saint. The way she was able to handle the nightmare that was Medhi made me wanna applaud her, no wonder she screamed when he left 🤣🤣
 
The worrying thing is that Ella was actually the first person to pass comment saying it shows Whitney is the youngest person in her family which prompted the selfish comment.
Whitney apologised to Ella 3 times last night. Didn't hear Ella apologise once.
Ty is definitely problematic and for all Ella's bravado she doesn't hold her boundaries.

It happens in workplaces as well sadly. If people treated everyone equally there wouldn’t be a problem and have self awareness and ask themselves why they’re expecting more of certain people when they don’t others.

I think Whitney was spot in when she said Ella has princess vibes. I also wish she’d been able to elaborate more on why she thinks Ella is selfish - I’m willing to bet that opinion is based on a lot more than just one shower! From what we’ve seen over all these weeks, Whitney is straight and to the point, says it how it is etc. I don’t think she would just name call for no reason..
