Any predictions for the upcoming season? I really don’t believe that any of the siblings will be the “successor” I feel like it’s someone outside of the immediate circle - Gerri, Tom, Ewan? It says a lot that Kendall isn’t exactly a great person (compared to most other characters he’s ok) but Jeremy Strong’s acting has me and everyone else rooting for him!

i think none of the siblings will get it. i think jesse armstrong very much wants the show to be a comment on capitalism and the rich eating themselves (and the roy’s are essentially broken as a family and cannot show love and affection to each other) - i could really see it ending with just the whole cycle starting again of another battle for power which we won’t see.

i’m still convinced that, in the end, greg wins though. he’s played the game better than anyone, no one really sees him as a threat, everyone has (at some point) taken him into confidence. he has the receipts. he’ll be in the best position at the end (and i think he and tom’s weird affection for each other is genuine so maybe they both win 🤣)

I agree I think Greg will ‘win’. None of the siblings will get it. I’m wondering whether the chatter about Roman and Mattson having a relationship will be true or not.

they were also always careful about showing greg in the background of events (definitely in the first two seasons) and showing him in conversation with important folk while the roy siblings were too busy infighting. he also still has the receipts he kept. i wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a twist and he and his grandfather have been playing the long game the entire time.

if it’s a king lear story then every lear has a cordelia (ie a weakness they haven’t prepared for). i think logan’s is still his brother and his sister (there’s so much more to come out about her i think). i reckon it will be ewan who, in some way, gets him in the end.

Those documents that Tom asked Greg to shred, which Greg kept copies of = Chekhov’s gun.

I think the last series set us up to think that Tom was being manoeuvred to take over, and as much as I’d love a ‘Tom & Gerri’ coup just for the gags alone, the fact that Greg made a point of arming himself with some ‘insurance’ cannot be incidental.

yep! and i think tom’s arc in the final season is probably just going to be a fall from “grace”. he thinks he’s in with logan, though logan obviously can’t stand him. he has underestimated greg, played himself into a corner with shiv etc. it’s all going to fall apart.

the tom and greg dynamic hugely intrigues me in general though. i think it’s cleverly written but they definitely showed that there’s a seemingly genuine connection there. i do think we’re heading to a huge betrayal of tom by greg though.

Gonna put it in writing that I really really don’t want it to be Greg (so I can gloat if it ends up being true 😂)

to be fair, i should specify that i don’t think anyone will “win” 🤣 every single one of them is going to end up miserable imo (except maybe connor).

i could imagine there being some huge twist where logan has actually already given the company to someone before all of this even started, he just liked watching his kids play off against each other and seeing how useless they all were.

Would Greg betray Tom after Tom said he’d go to prison for him? There is a genuine bond between them I think.

the writing of it is clever! but i think greg is a snake tbh 🤣 i think he knows tom picked him off initially because he thought he was the new person at the bottom of the pack - i guess they have bonded to a degree but i think greg is far far smarter and more ruthless than we’ve been shown on screen.
