i don’t think that’s the right way to look at it imo. yes, the show is called succession and started with the idea of who would succeed logan - but i think it’s evolved past that (and ultimately there are no good candidates 🤣) logan really has just enjoyed playing his kids off against each other with no intention of really giving any of them the opportunity to succeed. he has to be in control. he is absolutely going to die this series though, it cannot end any other way.

it’s become a show about family dynamics, about trauma, about in-fighting, about the toxicity of capitalism….. but it’s also a show about deceit and backstabbing. it wouldn’t surprise me if we, the audience, are equally deceived at the end 🤷🏼‍♀️

nah i completely agree with you and game of thrones is a great example. the “game” was won by someone who hadn’t even really been playing at all.

loved how Logan is now thinking about his mortality and missing the kids being around in his own horrible way.

Kerry is a wanker.

Really enjoying seeing the kids working together but I fear they may have overpaid for Pierce, plus if GoJo doesn’t go through they won’t have the money anyway.

‘Carnival of mindfuck’ lmao

The end scene with Tom and Shiv was brilliant. Felt for them both.

im thinking Logan is gonna cancel the GoJo deal to duck them, then have some kind of merger with Pierce. They’ve absolutely overpaid

I am team Shiv but I can’t help but feel she pushed Tom to where he is now after their wedding

very gutted to see Nate in the previews I hate that man so much 😭

roman being obviously not 100% on board is worrying me a bit with the kids working together tbh! his reaction after the phone call was markedly different to kendall and shiv. he still seems to be the kid most desperate for logan’s love i think.

the tom and shiv scene was so sad. they’ve both sort of broken and hurt each other in so many ways. shiv absolutely pushed tom to that point though, i feel he genuinely loved her and would have been completely loyal (or as loyal as anyone is on this show!)

I did! We have rewatched all 3 seasons over the last fortnight. We wanted to try and watch season 4 live at 2am but I knew I would fall asleep so watched as soon as I stepped in the door from work at 6pm. Total silence and concentration faces all round for an hour 🤣🤣🤣
