After seeing Rylan dance, I know he's a wonderful presenter but I'm desperate to see him give it a proper go.
He did look utterly ridiculous standing next to Janette though
He'd be an ideal partner for Nadiya to make the final with - personality and seems to have ability.
If they can convince him to give it a go next year, let AJ keep his seat warm at ITT (or maybe Tess can bow out after the milestone 20th series and he can replace her in 2023).

God, DS is in semi-meltdown. AJ fans saying they won't watch the final and will vote for John to stop Rose winning. Rose fans retaliating. Others saying AJ fans need to wise up and stop mourning her withdrawal as if she'd died and stop obsessing over #Friends For Life. JJ fans trying to stay out of it. Some people still demanding Rhys compete tomorrow! Meanwhile we are here discussing tan lines.
*NB: it's only a small group of each faction that are behaving like this, but it does feel a bit like the last days of the Roman Empire over there right now..

It's always like this if it wasn't this it would be something else they all obsesses over. The high emotions of this week are just helping it ramp up a bit. By Sunset on Sunday most of them will have moved on till next September but right now there is no talking sense to them.

I've only ever really read the live show threads before this year so am getting an insight into the feral behaviour! My faves went out weeks ago, so am fairly relaxed: am supporting John but pretty sure Rose will win, which I'm happy enough about. Just hoping to enjoy the returning celebs, maybe a shirtless Nikita, McTom in a desperate bid to locate the camera at all times etc.
OMG I just remembered someone casually suggesting that AJ might do her dances in a wheelchair! as if that were something she might be able to manage with a day's notice, and wouldn't instead be the worst thing any of us had ever seen...

(I *still* sometimes read AJ and think 'roundabout boy' though
)Not forgetting the phycological trauma to AJ. When people are injured even if a wheelchair is of use to them it can be a really difficult thing for them to accept, it can take time! It's best that the decision to withdraw has been made rather than attempt to dance AJ danced to such a high standard it would be heartbreaking (and humiliating!) to see it all go wrong.
