In non-aubergine speculation, I see the Lakitas on DS are wondering if Layton's news is that he is joining the pro tour. While I don't imagine for a second this will happen, and it would be a terrible idea, it would be hilarious, after months on DS of Lakita fans insisting that Layton wasn't a pro and he'd once sat on a chair during Billy Elliot if he was all

Why would anyone think that? he might be an unofficial professional dancer but he's not a strictly pro which is the entire point of the tour.
If there going down that route might aswell make a tour for all of the celebs that have done well due to previous experience over the years now invite kelvin, Ashley, Alexandra, Danny mac etc now that would be a hit.

I thought they might've been announcing some more Pros From the Show workshops (I believe that's what they're called?), especially with Nikita having just finished CBB. That could be a nice side gig for them both, they seemed to bring in some very large crowds! Although Nikita is undoubtably very busy with pro tour coming up. Does anyone know when pro tour rehearsals start? A few of them mentioned it being soon but tour doesn't kick off until May and I wouldn't think they'd need 5 weeks to prepare?

Honestly - I'd go to a show like that any day!

Yeah it seems much more likely that L and N will announce some kind of joint show/tour next year, which would be pretty popular.
Meanwhile Gio is going to do a tour with all his ex-partners who want to dance with him.
So two hours of Debbie McGee being twirled around by her foof it is then (guest appearance by Michelle for some mediocre vogue-ing)

Michelle Visage really rubbed me the wrong way. I never really 'got' her to begin with (drag isn't my cup of tea and I failed to see why she was so integral to that show), but the sanctimonious straight-splaining about how the crappy vogue dance made her the saviour of the LGBT community grated on me a lot when I thought she was just supposed to be an ally. She failed to understand that she's not actually a gay person and cannot relate to the difficulties that they specifically face, so really ought to have avoided acting like a spokesperson.

I'm glad that Craig (a gay man) saw through her bullshit and was honest in hating the Vogue dance, as well as not booking her on tour. No sympathy at all for her getting Gio as she was basically Jayde-lite.

I quite liked her up until the ‘vogue’ shizz - watching her ITT exit interview where she basically insisted she wasn’t voted off because her dance was a bit crap, she was voted off because Strictly viewers are rampantly homophobic and therefore unable to ‘understand’ the dance really pissed me off.

I understand it, love: I understand that voguing evolved to be performed on the packed dancefloor of Studio 54 and therefore looks a bit daft when executed in the middle of the Blackpool Tower ballroom by a middle-aged tv presenter and a notoriously heterosexual Italian ballroom dancer 🙄

TBF Gio was actually better than her, despite not having learned it in the gritty ballrooms of Harlem

Couples choice feels like a free pass
Hard to judge something that's done differently with each contestant.
Yep, and I think it takes away from the show dances. I remember how amazing some of the old show dances were, because people weren't doing contemporary every week. This year's couples choice were all shite imo, last year they were ok, but Helen, Hamza and Fleur could have all done that style in the final as their show dance.

Speaking of things that could change, I was watching some videos this morning of the old pros doing like a showcase? of a certain dance style. I don't even remember this happening but would love to see something like that on the sunday show to replace the shite singers no one ever likes. Maybe its just me but I like to see the dances done correctly.
