I think both of Ellie's dances not really covering much of the floor might be contributing to Bobby and Layton getting more votes than her. I liked Ellie's AS a lot more than Bobby's VW on the show, but I think Bobby's looks a bit more impressive in the arena because of the staging. I wonder why they didn't adapt the choreography of the AS to cover more ground?

I also think her Paso is pretty badly overshadowed by Layton's. I still think Salsa or Charleston would have been better picks for her.

Last year Hamza I think might have won 1-2 Glasgow shows but that was it, Fleur had more tour wins despite all the DO.

Hamza won all the Glasgow shows and a couple of others, Fleur only won London I think. Wiki says Helen won 13, Will 8, Hamza 7 and Fleur 4 (probably would have been 5 if she hadn't missed the first London show).

I can't with Bobby's Samba because his hips scare me a bit (the comparison to Mr Soft from the Trebor ads was spot on ), but his VW looks quite nice from the videos I've seen of it, I barely remembered it from the series.

Edited to add - Dianne played the dad card, everyone wanted to win for the "brummie"/town they are being amazing trophy, she mentioned her dad being proud of her, will she do that for every show?

Last year he actually went to the show, with Gorka, while he was dating Jowita. During the show he posted.. about his own tour! And never mentioned the live tour his gf and colleagues were in which he was watching.
He’s a small man.

Dianne continuing to exploit her poor dad to manipulate audiences to vote doesn't surprise me, but it does disappoint me.

Also, has she forgotten that there are two people in her partnership and that people might want to vote for them because of Bobby?

It will be too loud for him to sleep and he’ll end up caught up in the atmosphere and you’ll be wrestling his phone off him to stop him spending too much on voting

Sadly she does think she’s the main character and forgets it’s her job to showcase Bobby not the other way around.

I noticed that towards the end of last series (from blackpool onwards) Kai was a lot less visible in the pro dances and looked like he was walking through them. In the main Blackpool one him and Nikita were stood on the sides a lot, I wonder if he was also injured?

I mentioned this at theend of Strictly. It was quite obvious something wasn’t right with him.i think the last full speed thing he did was recording the xmas special where he did a really fast jive with Gio. I’m wondering if he pulled something doing that.
My thoughts ( and I know you’ll rip me apart for this, but it’s my opinion based on seeing him live several times), he was a different man when he started strictly. He was in good shape, brimming with enthusiasm and paired up with a very attractive girl with huge potential. They worked hard and had incredible dance chemistry. In return she made him look hot, they just worked as a dance couple.
The live tour saw him with Maisie where he also could dance to a high level as she was so good. Pro tour he was basically the lead and still looked hot, especially with Luba, who Jason partners with him a lot as they really are incredibly comfortable with one another. Then there is Burn the floor the reunion , where Luba was yet again his partner for the whole show and my god, they were absolutely dynamic. The whole show was excellent ( amazing cast), but the rumba they did together was absolute .
Not sure why but by the time the next strictly started and he was lumped with Kaye it sort of went downhill…

Around that time he left Jason’s management, so not sure what was going on. Considering he had the blow of AJ being injured you’d have expected him to get a ringer, but he got the opposite. Nothing against Kaye but she was never going further than week 2. Then dropping out of Pro tour to do his own tour and not exactly pleasing Strictly with this ( yes I know that is actually true, I’m not saying how I know).
Why does he look like he’s aged rapidly the last year? Someone said Anton looked more spritely than him. I thought the same in the launch show dance - Anton outdanced him.
Kai, we know sexy, fast on your feet, enthusiastic 2021 Kai is in there somewhere….go and find him again!

Was in Birmingham show last night. Literally girls screaming for Bobby so no surprise he won. Not sure I would have rated him the best but my husband did enjoy the VW and Diane’s dress was gorgeous for that.

Layton stole the show. Thought he was incredible on the tv but seeing his ability live made my jaw drop. Could have confused him for a pro and in fact did during the Barbie dance. Don’t get me wrong I am a big Ellie fan but he’s schools above her.

Vito’s zip popped during the paso which was a laugh and Shirley gave Anton a shock when asked what her favourite dance was.

It annoyed me, Bobby was gracious and she made the "beg" about making her dad proud in that country we didn't know she comes from (Australia). And then dedicated it to him - she's just as annoying live as she is on strictly.

It was touching to see the celebs and their pros shocked/overwhelmed at the massive audience support for them , as if they hadn't expected the love.. eg Angela/Carlos he was looked teary. Must be so amazing to have an audience of thousands celebrating and supporting you.
