Katya V was kinda unfairly kicked to the curb in an era of the more flashy pros starting to take centre stage. They ditched her and took on Karen who isn't as good of a dancer and retained the Aliona/Kristina/Ola cohort who got more headlines.

Haven't read the full article yet, but apparently she didn't get on well with Artem in pro numbers.

Yes she talks about it. I liked her particularly with Gavin!
 
This comment about Amanda on a Facebook post is just disgusting. It's bad enough when men do it, how can you as a woman be OK with dismissing another woman as just hormonal for speaking about an upsetting experience. it reminds me of the bit in the Barbie movie where the girl says 'men hate women and women hate women'. absolutely sickening

Has the investigation been concluded?

Judging by the comments on here Amanda was complaining about Gio from early on. What did producers do about the complaints/him.

I've been open about being a Gio fan from the beginning but that doesn't blind me to the fact that he's a dick/hole. But there's a difference between being a dick/hole and being a thug.

Im sure Amanda is well used to dealing with dicks - she was with Martin Freeeman for years - but nobody should have to deal with thugs. And if it's proved that Gio has a long reputation for being a thug, all production staff who've enabled him should be shown the door.

I'm still of the opinion there needs to be police involvement for Gio and Graz.

And finally I'd like to say something a bit controversial.

I think the abuse Amanda has suffered is awful and shouldn't happen to anyone. However I think it's wrong to say that she's suffered this abuse solely from deranged "beryl's" (another derogatory name for women which can sit beside Karen)

I think her abusers will fall into a number of groups.

1 - Uber Gio fans who think he cam do no wrong and Amanda is making stuff up and is in general a mad woman

2 - Uber Strictly fans who want to promote the one big happy family ĺie

3 - people who already hated Amanda because she's a terf and who are pleased to have another stick to beat her with (there where quite a few people on these threads who weren't happy she'd been signed up for strictly because of her views)

4 -.and I think this is the biggest group - Social Media nutjobs who love a "pile on" Probably half of them have never heard of strictly and have no view about what happened but just love the opportunity to send threats to women on the Internet.

I love(d) strictly and have watched from the beginning but feel I don't have the heart to watch this year.

And I also agree with everyone calling out Shirley Bollocks for her nasty attitude. Just because you fancy giovanni it doesn't mean he'd never do harm to anyone. And even if that's how you feel, how about you stay quiet Shirl?
 
I’ve seen Amanda on something and for the life of me I can’t remember what 🙈 but it wasn’t in an acting role but she came across really unlikeable and just a bit of a knob; it was when her and martin had separated, I’m not taking away her experience of what happened, I just found her really unlikeable in a general way, and like I said, this was way before strictly,I don’t know really I’m just thinking out loud 🤷‍♀️

Shirley needs to go, she has never judged fairly on what is basically an entertainment show, the comments she has made on past contestants have been vile, Nigel harman to name one, she’s a bully and how she is still there is beyond me

I’ve loved and watched Strictly for years but the more that comes out, the more I think I won’t watch it. It’s almost supporting the BBC’s toxic culture

It's interesting isn't it that out of all the people involved in Strictly who could and should have done something about this environment, only 1 person has been held accountable. And that person is the dancer that has been there for the shorter amount of time (of the two pros involved), the one who hasn't won and who often left in the earlier part of each run.

It's like blaming a trainee for any problems in a global organisation. They are all looking out for each other and Graziano was the one they decided to make an example of to appease the viewers. Except we aren't appeased because he's not the only one to have behaved atrociously.
