FR spokesperson says that the allegations they have received bear no resemblance to what Amanda says. So what on earth are the allegations they received?


If I had any doubt about her claims, the interview, and Krishnan's comments and support, absolutely eradicated them. I hope FR never works again. She also says that 'five or six' people complained about him before her! so who didn't? Michelle, Debbie and Rose?

It’s all GDPR, so I’m guessing if an employee leaked it they would lose their job. I wouldn’t be surprised if the BBC are finding it difficult to legally find Gio guilty but with this latest interview then it is easier for them not ever have him back on Strictly, if that makes sense. What needs to be leaked are the group chat messages that would show others were aware things weren’t great.

I’m just watching on catchup, it’s just horrific, poor Amanda
 
I don't understand the whole thing. To me Gio blocking it is a clear sign of guilt at this point because if not, why not just say yeah duck it, stream it to the world I have nothing to hide? But additionally, why aren't the BBC releasing it? What are they trying to achieve at this point, if it shows he's innocent then you'd release it and if shows he isn't, why does it matter? Fire him like you did Graz? It makes no sense why they've gone full on with one and not the other

The BBC can't release it without his permission due to GDPR (and they wouldn't anyway).

I note in the transcript Krishnan says all the cast are getting together soon for dinner, and Amanda says she's still friends with some of the dancers. He's also so full of praise for Lauren, what a king.

I haven’t watched the full thing yet, does amanda state that it was Gio’s previous partners who complained or just contestants in general? It might not necessarily have been anyone he was actually dancing with but maybe someone who was partnered with someone else but still friendly with him? Ashley for example was partnered with Pasha but ended up dating Gio, not saying it’s her but could be a similar situation.

She says 'People before me experienced the same thing I did. If it had just been me coming out saying all this stuff, I can understand why people go, ‘oh, God’, but there were five or six other people previously to me who had the same experience.' - it seems they're talking about him. Though you're right, I'm sure Ashley has a tale to tell about him.

I just watched Amanda's C4 interview with Krishnan. I feel so sorry for her.
I did like Gio as a dancer, and thought he got a lot of good dances out of his dance partners,...... but Im now thinking at what cost?

Its an interesting dilemma isnt it, Im like Amanda and find it difficult to cope with harsh negative criticism, as it tends to make me shrivel inside and get extremely stressed and hypercritical and unsurprisingly my work suffers and I dont work at my full potential. Whereas if I am given compliments and encouragement, I try harder and work a lot better!

So its an interesting debate about how to get the best from say a partner or work colleague! And what to do if a colleague is critical or negative towards you. And how this veers into potentially bullying behaviour!
Ricky Gervaise explored this so well in ''The Office'' How badly was Gareth bullied in that office!!! And I think that this is a good comparison because I wonder if Amanda ever went near the set of the Office? ( Cos of Martin Freeman!)
Not everybody sees the same things as bullying !!!!
