I think Katya, Jowita, Dianne, Nancy, Lauren, Vito, Nikita, Carlos, Gorka, Kai and Aljaz will all get partners. Karen probably will, but they might have finally had enough of her lack of effort and monday morning choreographing. If they only need 7 females probably Luba will get the last spot seeing as she did well with Adam. If they need 8, I'd think probably Nadiya?? Too risky giving Amy a partner given that she hasn't danced much for 18 months. No idea why they haven't yet given Michelle a partner, I think if they were really impressed by her they would've given her one last year over Luba, they don't seem to care too much about seniority given Luba was benched over Jowita in 2022 and Nadiya was benched in 2023 for Lauren. As for the boys, Johannes will likely still get one, and if they need 8 probably the new boy will. I really don't see Neil getting one, they obviously value his help behind the scenes with choreography, maybe he's just not a good teacher? I think it's a risky game giving Johannes/Amy a 'duffer' so they're out early. Johannes made the semi-final with Annabel who was on paper more of a middler/duffer.
 
I was discussing Amy with a friend the other day- really pleased she’ll be back on the show in a more prominent role this year- we were torn between whether she will be benched but maybe have a leading role in a few of the group dances, or get the lovely but obvious first out. Maybe someone a bit older who perhaps isn’t expecting to do well but wants to give it a shot (and gain some publicity!)- the risk there of course being that they might not go out early, especially as I’m sure lots of people will be pleased to see her back so I reckon she’ll get a good vote percentage. I’m thinking along the lines of Les Dennis where even if he had stayed in a few weeks I doubt the routines themselves would have been too intense- kinda ease her back in a wee bit.

I imagine we will be getting some celeb names soon?? I’ve been rewatching Line of Duty and decided that the number one celeb I want to see dancing is Adrian Dunbar :love:

Pretty much spot on. I do think it should be a case of use it or lose it with Michelle though.

Does Gilkinson pick the couples too? I thought he just choreographed the pro routines and awful showdances. If so, it's pretty inappropriate that he's behind Vito and Dianne's tour because he will financially gain from them both having good partners/ going far in the competition. Also is Giovanni definitely not coming back? They never made a statement like they did with Graz regarding his sacking and since his PR purposes girlfriend has been dumped, maybe the investigations over? I know it said he'd quit in the press but I was unsure of how true that was.

Tessbot would definitely malfunction. I’m amazed she’s managed to keep this job for 20 years. My hairdresser has told me she can’t watch Strictly because of her irrational hatred of Tess. I told her it’s very rational.

I agree, he'd have excelled on a special (and not with Dianne, I don't think she was the right partner for him - wtf was that awful Muppet shite she came up with?!)

I really don’t want the Molly Mae rumours to be true. But Tessbot having to potentially interview John Fury would be tv gold 😂.
