I just absolutely love Vito. He's hilarious, doofy, sweet, doesn't take himself too seriously and without doubt hot with a capital H.
I bet he goes back to Italy now till April and the pro tour :( I know he'll enjoy spending time wtih (non-gross, canine) Aaron, but I hope he doesn't go totally off the radar again.

I see LadyLav has posted a story from the S*n (very downmarket) that says Graz's wife Giada wants to audition for Strictly. I can well believe she wants out of the lunacy-fest that is Ballando and to spend time with her husband. But hasn't she danced in some of the pro numbers before? I would have thought if they wanted her they'd have brought her in last year instead of Lauren or Michelle..

Thoughts from the last show:
- Janette can carry a crowd but she has no banter with the judges and comes off very very scripted still.
- Hamza's dancing is more impressive in the flesh.
- Anton made me laugh throughout (a sentence I never thought I'd say).
- Sitting in the cheap seats, could barely see anyone in the pro numbers - Dianne was the most noticeable (again, a sentence I never thought I'd say)
- Not so much a fan of Anton when he started singing.
- Carlos was the standout pro when dancing IMO, he has that extra spark about him.
- Helen & Kai were great together at Quickstep but Mein Herr needed Gorka.
- Craig a bit rude to Molly calling the Quickstep "saccharine", seemed more personal than panto villain IMO.
- Nikita is the perfect mix of fun and sweet but I don't believe the bit about Scottish ancestry.
- Judges worked well as a team.
- Carlos, Nancy & Hamza were definitely the most emotional IMO and Molly & Jowita seemed tired.
- By contrast, Fleur/Vito, Ellie/Nikita seemed lighthearted (the latter pulled out the 'friends for life' line). Helen & Kai were rather chill.
- Decent night overall.

Doesn’t sound like you overly enjoyed it

What, not even when he demonstrated his utterly convincing Scottish accent?

Anton was in his element, he's a good showman, I'll give him that, I didn't even mind when he started singing 😁 his banter with the other judges was good and didn't feel like they had done it 30 times already. Janette was good at moving the show along, but yeah, she's not so good at deviating from the script like Anton is.
It was a good show all round I thought, I only decided a few days ago to go but I'm glad I did, closing night is always a good atmosphere.

I hope Vito goes on a little road trip to Hamza's now and they both snuggle some baby otters (only if they need rescuing obviously not just randomly).

Luba will be straight on a plane tomorrow morning somewhere remote.
Luba is on her way to Erin Island for cocktails, R&R and sympathy.
and possibly ritual burning of pink PJ’s

I’m going to sound like a right granny/fun sponge but here we go:

A lot of the cast were out partying til the early hours what felt like almost every night, and I’m actually not surprised there weren’t more illness/exhaustion casualties. I totally get having fun and letting loose but it almost bordered on looking unprofessional when it was constant (I’m not implying that the people that were ill/off shows were personally necessarily overdoing it, more than it seemed to just be the culture).

Katya and Aimee Fuller seem to be off travelling and they are in Southeast Asia. They seem to be having a lovely time, but I was taken aback to see them zipping around on a moped in short shorts. I get it’s unlikely they would have an accident, but if they did their legs have no protection whatsoever, which could be pretty catastrophic for a professional dancer and a snowboarder.

I’m quite an anxious person and it’s only got worse since I had kids so I think this is probably just my stuff 🙈

Not unrelated, but I was listening to Helen's 5live show yesterday and she was interviewing Eve Muirhead about her retirement - she was saying she can now go skiing because that's one of the things you can't do as a professional athlete because of this risks - and reading this you've reminded me that Katya not only goes skiing, but goes down the slopes balanced on her mate's shoulders 😱 Never thought about it in the context of being a professional dancer before.

I'm so anxious about getting ill or injured too. Not just missing work/study, but the stress of just not being able to do every day stuff as well
