I struggle to see how anyone who was a baby when it started is unknowing of what has been one of the biggest weekend shows their entire life.
Jeff Brazier (can't stand the man) is all over his sons lives, their career moves, the descions they make etc he's like some kind of pseudo life coach he will of fully prepped Bobby and you can just tell that his sons attitude is
'yeah dad I'm all good I'll wing it and still be the best you watch me'
Dianne might be trying to humble him or present him as a sweet little boy but the real him is just creeping through he's cocky AF.

Yes to all of this. I feel Jeff is the puppet master and has prepped him to the max for this gig.

I mean, even if you don’t watch it, it’s broadcast for three months of the year, for nigh upon twenty years, in a prime time weekend slot, and gets a massive amount of media coverage. I don’t believe it’s possible for anyone with any involvement in the TV/entertainment industry to be utterly oblivious to the entire Strictly behemoth.

And what sort of idiot arrives for their first day of a new job without having bothered to familiarise themselves with anything about the company, the product or the requirements of the role?
Especially as there is at least one ender every year

Yikes - I’m giving Bobby (and his puppet master dad) the benefit of the doubt . On his insta he seems sweet and a bit out of it. I’m sure he’ll get to grips with Strictly.

I love how Katya is committed to sustainability - having said that, looking this good in a dress from a charity shop probably makes it a lot easier!

The second I read that Nigel Harman was part of the show, I wondered if I'd still fancy him 20 years after Eastenders and yes, yes I do. Like many women in their 40s I was OBSESSED with Dennis Rickman.

FYI the Drama channel show Classic Eastenders if anyone wants to relive 2003 and 2004.

I feel flushed just thinking about him doing the Argentine Tango. Is there a separate thread for him?!

She certainly looks better than the mess outfits that Dianne puts together from charity shop/car boot finds.

I hope I'm wrong but I'm getting Peter Andre vibes..

Kids seem coached by their ever adoring Papa or perhaps I'm a cynical, miserable old git

I think when you’ve basically grown up in Realty TV, which Jeff has … he was only 20 ish on Shipwrecked … and you get to see the inner workings then you know both what the production wants and what works with the audience and it‘s probably second nature now. Let’s be honest … for all the sequins and judging Strictly is at heart a reality TV show which is as much personality driven as anything else. If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t have ITT every day or public voting or 2 prime time TV weekend slots for 3 months’ and for someone who so little was known about coming in … he’s certainly managed to get the column inches.

To be fair I don't think there's anything wrong asking a question if you don't know or forgot something. It's not like it was in the middle of an interview. Over the many years of watching this show I've seen many a celeb wether that be on ITT, instagram or in interviews ask their respective pro a question about an aspect of the show they had forgotten about or didn't realise. Don't think its anything to be burned at the stake for.

I don’t think people were talking about Bobby asking whether they have to dance on Sunday. They were talking about his “I’ve never watched Strictly”, “I don’t know what the dances are called”, him playing dumb act

I don't think thats playing dumb personally; I think thats just being honest saying you've never watched the show. Just how celebs in the past get shtick saying they watch it every year with their gran and the response normally on here is ''Sure you do Jan''. I think he probably doesn't know what the dances are either; on Saturday night he said he didn't know what the foxtrot was which I think is fair enough. On the show last week or on the launch show didn't one of the couples who got the quickstep say ''Is that quick?''.

Well giving him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he hasn't watched the show or knows one dance from the other, which I guess is feasible,
However if he is still pleading ignorance down the line, I think I'll certainly wonder if this innocent act, is exactly that, an act.

I'll add, I don't dislike the lad, I think he's extremely handsome and delighted for his success but what I don't like is 'innocent little me' and I hope that this is not Bobbys angle. Disingenuous behaviour at any age isn't appealing.

Speaking of whats acceptable and whats not really does put whatever Bobby has done/hasn't done into perspective:

Nick Simmons, CEO of RoadPeace, the national charity for road crash victims, said: 'Every day on the UK's roads, around five people are killed and more than 60 people are seriously injured.

'Driving is a privilege, not a right. With that privilege, comes a great deal of responsibility for safety, but sadly, many road users overlook this important fact.

'It is very disappointing when celebrities, who have a significant influence on others, behave in a way that does not acknowledge the importance of using the roads safely and of the huge risks posed by distracted driving.

Songs and dances are up!

Angela has been reported to the police for dancing out a car window, do people not have anything better to do
It's completely illegal for her to do that, so perfectly reasonable to report it. No seatbelt as well to do it. Really poor example for people. The BBC need to be having words with their Strictly stars about seatbelts, she isn't the only one guilty of not wearing one.
