Ive just managed to catch up on the threads after a crazy weekend. Some of you might remember me two weeks ago suddenly deciding to have a party for my bday & making it Strictly themed! Well I thought since it’s quiet this morning I’d show you how it went off. That’s me in the navy sequin suit channeling my inner Claudia. And the Strictly pjs were the BEST.PRESENT.EVER!!!!!

On topic, I watched the show at 6am Sunday morning after everyone had gone to bed… I couldn’t wait. (Have had to watch again sober since, mind!) But I loved Ellie, Nigel and Angela R. My poor beloved Gorka will be home with the fam sooner than he thinks unfortunately!
And wtf were Tess & Claud wearing? Sooooo not fronting strictly on a Saturday look, more wine bar after work with the girls 🤣

How FABULOUS. 💃🕺Wishing you a wonderful 40th ❤

Party looks amazing! Glad you enjoyed! 😚

I get that some people sign up to Strictly when they don't watch it, but Bobby acts like he just wandered into Elstree and somehow ended up on the dancefloor. Surely the first thing you do when you're asked to take part is watch old clips to see what it's all about? 🤷‍♀️

Apparently in the Clauditorium he turned to Dianne and asked if they were also dancing on Sunday.

And the replies were all 'awww, it's so precious how oblivious he is 🥺' 🥴

Yeah, I thought Bobby was likeable but after the carryon in training and walking along the street with his hands down his pants, 🤢 I went right off him.
It was the only dance on Saturday that I paid very little attention to. I enjoyed everyone else's, no matter how good or not quite so good they were. I remember them rolling on the floor at one point. And that's about it.

I mean, even if you don’t watch it, it’s broadcast for three months of the year, for nigh upon twenty years, in a prime time weekend slot, and gets a massive amount of media coverage. I don’t believe it’s possible for anyone with any involvement in the TV/entertainment industry to be utterly oblivious to the entire Strictly behemoth.

And what sort of idiot arrives for their first day of a new job without having bothered to familiarise themselves with anything about the company, the product or the requirements of the role?

Plus Zara has over a million followers ( and Sam too), so I’m sure they can get some votes.

yep - you can also see the generational difference in fans as the official Strictly instagram likes on the dances are very very different from the Facebook likes! Zara is only behind Nigel and Bobby on insta (still by quite a while).

Jody and Nikita seem to be trailing in the likes on both sites so they might be my picks for bottom two contenders

I just don't believe in his act of "deer in the headlights on a show he's never seen" for a second. I find it off-putting and kind of unprofessional, like you don't walk into a job and go "hahaha, what the duck's all this then". And that's what Strictly is for them at the end of the day: a job.

And he was probably told many times over what it entailed before he signed up, and by Dianne, since then. Training begins again on Monday, we have to appear on ITT such a day, on and so on. Prat.

Absolutely: you get contracted for a show, you find out what‘s what. You don’t just turn up clothed in ignorance and hope for the best. 🙄

I'd be the person in the red dress! She got the memo! My vinted favourites is currently full of sequined items. Happiest of birthdays to you! 🎉🎉

This whole dumb act he seems to be putting on will get old very fast. Pretending to not know the name of dances, talking & acting like a 5 year old … i’m already over it 🤣
Surely we haven’t forgotten Joe and his Viennese Waltz - I thought it that was a biscuit, <hur hur>or I’ve got to do a whisk … I thought that was for baking <hur hur> and all the other hilarious ‘I thought that was a …’ he subjected us to. He’s just given Bobby his script.

(And let’s not forget his dad has been round the RTV block a time or two as well)

Especially as a number of his Eastenders colleagues have done the show. Even if he was still pleading ignorance one of Emma Barton, James Bye, Kellie Bright, Scott Maslen, Letitia Dean & Natalie Cassidy would have filled him in on how it works

And yes you would YouTube it and do your research before showing up

I struggle to see how anyone who was a baby when it started is unknowing of what has been one of the biggest weekend shows their entire life.

I think ignorance is becoming less and less excusable these days. We have information in our pockets and at our fingertips - you don't know something? You google. You can read about it, watch a video, look at photos or diagrams - there's something for every learning style.

To be clear, I am not talking about anybody with learning needs - if your understanding is impaired by a condition, then that's different. But as far as we know Bobby is either playing dumb to infantilise himself to the grannies or just hasn't been arsed to do his research and doesn't seem to give much of a tit to find out.

To be fair I don't think there's anything wrong asking a question if you don't know or forgot something. It's not like it was in the middle of an interview. Over the many years of watching this show I've seen many a celeb wether that be on ITT, instagram or in interviews ask their respective pro a question about an aspect of the show they had forgotten about or didn't realise. Don't think its anything to be burned at the stake for.
