I haven’t read all the posts but just seen the spoiler!
Pleased to see Lauren got a partner, disappointed Nadiya didn’t. I hope we can really see Luba’s choreography but that’ll only work if Adam is teachable.
Nikita and Layton - looking forward to this pairing!
Giovani’s stories the other day when he hinted he knew who he has - he either didn’t know, Amanda’s a dark horse or he could be the next James Bond his acting skills are so good because on the face of it, I’m not sure he would have wanted her.
I honestly do not get why year in, year out Diane gets a potentially decent partner. And Bobby looks pretty tall, so is that excuse going to be trotted out again? He seems like a popular guy so who knows but I would have benched her and paired Nadiya with Bobby. She does seem to have a loyal fanbase and Joe has loads of followers but they’re not voiting
I think Kai is a good shout for Angela R - she can dance and yes 79 is old but he is probably the right person to figure out how far to push her without causing a strain to the NHS.
Katya and Nigel I am excited for!!
And I’m starting to feel sorry for Neil at this point - I know he likes being on camera on a Saturday night but at this point, it’s making me feel sad for him. I don’t like this feeling.

You have obviously forgotten aj’s ankle injury and Kaye’s bruised ribs? He’s hopefully learnt not to over push a non trained dancing partner in his over enthusiasm- however much they encourage it

. Yeah as a teacher he has to stop folk over estimating their capabilities, 100%.

I'm imagining Adam coming into training like "hahaha I'm such a cheeky chappy hahaha" with that laugh of his and Luba turning him to stone with a withering glance

As regards Neil, it's not a bad gig really is it? Don't get me wrong I am sure they all love being part of the competition, and nobody wants to be benched. But overall, he gets a much easier task and still gets to be in Strictly.

I still sometimes think of Will Bayley and his injury after Janette made him jump off a table. He’s one of my favourite contestants of all time.
To be fair, he could have said no, and it was his ‘signature‘ winning move … that being said I always gets the wobbles with still competing athletes and hope Jody is sent back unharmed.
I think a lot of the problems is that you have a bunch of at best averagely fit people, who suddenly are doing repetitive activities, lifting and being lifted and jumping abhat with no real knowledge of the proper technique or how to hold themselves. Also, they insist on practising silly numbers of hours so little niggles become bigger issues with No time to recover. A steroid injection and a couple of Paracetamol is only going to push the problem back not actually deal with it.

I really thought Bobby was nailed on as a finalist, but not any more. I don’t understand why Dianne gets so many chances when she messes them all up. Still haven’t forgiven her for Dev.

Well tbf, that ones kind of on the judges. I mean, obviously they ended up in the bottom two but he should have stayed over Emma. He was better in the live show and the results.

I actually really like Dianne, but I am gutted she has been paired with Bobby! She is a lovely girl and a great dancer but I just dont think her choreography is good enough for some of the partners she gets. This is from someone who was really excited she was partnered with Max (oh why did I like Max).
I do however love the pairing of Nigel and Katya - I really wanted him with Karen or her so I can't complain.
Nice to see Luba with a partner - although Adam does my head in, I do hope they do quite well.
Most of the other partnerships I keep forgetting but I'm sure I'll surprise myself with who I actually like in the coming months.
