I read Kai saying he really wanted her (maybe in OK magazine?) since he's a Sherlock fan so Gio's initial excitement could be based partly off that?

Click the three dots I've circled and you'll get spoiler options. The first one will give you the option to type a tag, you can leave that blank and it'll give you a template - just type your message in between the two spoiler tags.

The inline spoiler option is the blurred one which is probably easier to use.

I wonder if she sees this as a dignified partnership - no showmance, might do a few nice ballrooms, unlikely to be much good at Latin. If he’s nice to her it will make people forget about Richie
 
Poor Bobby for landing Diane. I'm pretty sure if he'd been paired with another pro, they'd have got him to the final. But maybe he is a terrible dancer and they've decided it doesn't matter who he's paired with

personally I would have put him with Lauren. Saw her in the Gio and Anton show and she is a spectacular dancer

But I don't know about heights etc so maybe I'm off beam

I would really like them to go back to more traditional ballroom and Latin dances rather than the character stuff they do now - dressing dancers as a bee and a bee keeper!!!

Also having the contestants doing the same dances each week rather than some getting popular dances and by the time they get to end they've got no Latin left.

And please, please, please, can we get rid of that screechy female singer and bring back Lance Ellington 🙏🙏🙏

Agreed, I would like to see the contestants start off with basic ballroom and Latin dances - no CC, Charlestons or other speciality dances until much further into the competition.

I live in hope that we won't have to endure squeaky lady's caterwauling. I can't think of a song she hasn't ruined.

Absolutely thrilled that Katya and Nigel are paired, so looking forward to her quirkiness and he will go along with it.

Sorry about Bobby, the more I read of your comments, Dianne wasn't good at adapting to a tall celeb with Tyler last year, so why put her in the same position, also her choreography is quite bland, unless someone else choreos it for her.

Not surprised at Nadiya being benched, comes across as having very little personality, in comparison with Dianne who is chatty, demonstrative and full of energy, it is an entertainment show and she cannot dine out on just looking glam and performing her cameo as the 'Yorkshire barmaid' forever and a day! 😩 Thanks Dan for that!

Happy with the pairings, we shall not really know how they gel until we see them dance. Will be interesting to see how the Bobby duo get on, also Gio and Amanda, surprised that Gio was so thrilled, it was if he was expecting Ritchie to get given another go as it was so lacklustre last year!! 🤣

I like her too. Never understood the dislike of her on this thread 🤷

Didn't Layton say he wants to be thrown around by a male pro, will Nikita be able to do that?? He just doesn't look very big but maybe he's a lot stronger than he looks?

He lifted Carlos in a dance number last year so I'd say it won't be a problem. Also lifts can be much easier if you distribute your weight properly to help your partner support you.
