I think he’ll be good fun; as someone pointed out, he does a good line in self-deprecation and he’s not afraid to laugh at himself. Plus he’s an ‘old school’ entertainer so he knows what light entertainment is all about.

He’ll have to ditch a lot of the 42nd Street shows for the duration of his stint though 🫤

I’m sorry. I just get flashbacks to late 70’s/early 80’s comedy variety shows and have to go and rock In the corner.

Same here. I knew Rose because I watched Eastenders sporadically. But none of the others you mentioned.

I don't care who I know, I just want to see how they get on, who they are paired with and sometimes someone you 'knew' and thought you would like or dislike can be the opposite to what you thought beforehand.

That was me with Kym Marsh last year. I thought I would dislike her from start to finish, mostly because of the character she played in Corrie 😁. And then I was delighted to see her getting as far as she did through sheer hard work, and she and Graz were so perfectly matched.

I enjoyed Jamie Laing too! 😁

I think the only 3 pairings I actively want are Layton with Kai, Nadiya with Bobby and Jody with Jowita.
The rest can do a celeb version of musical chairs (celebs are the chairs. When the musical stops, the pro sits on them) the carnage when the only 2 left are Les and Nigel would be epic.
 
There will be moans of course but I think the line up is looking pretty interesting. A lot of unknown quantities, will be good to find out the pairings now. Think it will be good for the pros as well,a bit of thinking outside the box needed. Angela Rip off is going to get on my last nerve but hey ho, can’t have everything😂
 
The endless requests for lists - sorry, I mean predictions - are so boring on DS. Does anyone else actually read who Joe Bloggs thinks will dance first or what dance they will be doing? I know I can ignore them (and I do) but I wonder if anyone else is interested? I actually prefer a poll to pointless and dull predictions.
