Kai strikes me as the sort who would try really hard to give his amateur partner a nice time, and give them some fun steps and whatnot, even if they both knew they were probably going to be a Week 2 boot.

Poor Kaye Adams on the launch show looked 100% like she wanted to die, and could barely do a side-to-side shuffle for her introduction reel. And okay, she was still a poor dancer a few weeks later, but she at least looked like she was having a jolly time with him twirling her through some cute little kicks and easy lifts and drops.

I think the fact that Kaye spoke so highly of Kai even after spending just a few weeks with him spoke volumes. It was clear to me that he gave her a great experience despite her horrendous nerves. Gio might have been around for longer, but he really should take note from his friend.
 
I feel like Kai or Graziano would’ve had a much more fun partnership with Richie and got more out of him.

He hasn’t got the height but I always remember how lovely Gorka was with Katie Piper even though she was so nervous. They are still in contact and he spoke so beautifully about her and I just think he was exemplary there in his partnering.

I wonder what type of partner he will get this year. He’s had the traditional duffer and also the celeb that no one expected to be as good as they were, so will be interesting to see who he gets next.

I'd say someone mid table, would make sense to even things out. If Zara McDermott is in, I'd probably pair them up - she's quite different to Kaye but unlike AJ, won't be a finalist.
 
I'm interested in seeing what partner Giovanni gets this year not because I'm a fan of him in the slightest but he is now going into his 9th season on Strictly and has yet to have a out and out duffer. He has had every archetype of partner on the show: ringer, middler, journey, same sex contestant but has yet to have a proper duffer. If he does not get one this year them I'm convinced someone high up in TPTB has a thing for him.
 
Well, according to LadyLav he has had duffers! I suspect he will get someone very good this year, maybe not an out-and-out ringer but a young woman with potential. If this is his last year, as seems likely, he will want to win, and the show seems to be convinced of his popularity (he has the most followers - ahem!, but also sells out his own tours and with Anton, plus BBC series, plus Facebook Beryls adore him).

It is testament to Kai that he must have known he would be first boot with Kaye and did his absolute best and was a very good sport, never showing his pique.

He had a damn good sulk after he was eliminated. Not appearing in the Clauditorium for weeks and looking like he’d like the ground would swallow him up when the paps caught him walking Matt’s dog.

She’s short , 5’5”. It puts her in Gio, Gorka or Nikita territory.

Was just about to post this. I kind of hope this is true, it would be interesting because of her presenting Come Dancing. She looks great for 78 btw.
 
Ooh wondering who will get her - I could see Kai with her as he has that 1950s air but I don’t think they’d give him two older ladies in a row. Johannes? Vito? Carlos? For Gio she might be too close to the Debbie M partner.. (I feel like Nikita will defo get a ringer).
