Wasn’t expecting Fleur but I think she’ll be good at it (really just loving that she’ll bring out the chaos in vito once a week). Much better than some of the suggestions I saw and definitely will be a welcome break from Janette’s lovely might as well have a robot presenting

Getting in early to say: I like her, but I am dreading the endless criticism of her! Also, she has a journalism degree so hopefully will be a good interviewer (not that you need to be Jeremy Paxman...)

Agree. I like Fleur. Much prefer her over the other suggestions (except Ellie T - but it became obvious it wouldn't be her) but, jeez, some viewers are going to hate this, and will be very vocal about it.

I think there will be a lot of comparing with her dances - not in a totally bad way, in a Zoe Ball way.

When I saw those boots on Insta, my first thought was it was someone who works part time at a fish factory (😉) and then my second thought was “Stacey Dooley”. So there’s that. I really thought they were teeing up Joanne Clifton for it

Joanne is touring through Strictly season, though isn’t she? Shrek the Musical rings a bell?

I don’t understand the deal with Janette - I know she’s a genuinely nice person but she’s consistently been promoted above her station by the show.

Not very good as a pro dancer (arguably under qualified) yet kept for 8 years and consistently given contenders or potential dark horses (except her first partner). Then given ITT with little presenting experience and being kept in that despite not fitting what the role needs - wit and engaging interviewing skills.

To add also she and aljaz were always always always front and centre in the pro dances. And ik they were trying to push the romance down our throats but it almost seemed like Gilkison was making any pro section the Janette and aljaz show with backing dancers. It always really irritated me cause it made them all seem the exact same.

And its clear she’s not good for the presenting role. She’s had her chance to “settle the nerves” for two (??) years now and its just not working. I saw the live tour too and while she was better live, it was clear she wasn’t comfortable going away from the script which made it all seem very unnatural and wooden
