Having checked their DOBs (!), the 8.5 year age gap doesn't seem that much, helped by Vito being a goofball. But I don't think they are together: I think/hope that for Ellie it's a best case scenario - she gets to do this amazing thing with someone she is incredibly fond of, maybe have a cheeky snog or two at the end (if he doesn't have a blonde girlfriend), not have a relationship which would inevitably end and cause negative headlines for both, AND know her horrible ex is getting the piss ripped out of him by his laddy mates that his ex is getting thrown around by a hot Italian. Win-win!

Anyway, I liked how even the AT was about her being super-confident, not just lusting after him. I see on DS the Vito haters are saying he 'doesn't showcase her' - she literally climbed up him (and how painful were those 3-inch heels on his thigh?!)

Oh I don’t think they’re together either! 😂 But the large age-gap was my first thought when it was suggested.
 
Ellie doesn’t seem super young to me. She’s def quite mature for her age I think & she could be anywhere from about 20-30 looks wise! I for one really hope she’s managed to bag Vito but I’m not totally convinced. I don’t care about age gaps unless it’s genuinely a bit weird like 19 & 40 or something (looking at you Tom Daley 😬) but even then, each to their own so long as it’s a loving/happy/healthy relationship.
 
Finally here with some super-late thoughts on last night!

Layton and Nikita were ok but I preferred the out of hold bits, and thought the in hold footwork looked a bit fudged. Nikita somehow looked hot despite the 2007 pussy bow (I wore a similar top in black when I did one of those random 'refer a friend to have a makeover and a photoshoot at a random London studio' in 2008 😂). I enjoyed the passive aggressive Craig ending to the dance 😂

Nigel was good - I was so relieved he did well and his excited face at the end and on his way to the clauditorium was lovely! His hips were pretty stiff towards the end but a good dance!

I thought Annabel was ok but boring and didn't have enough fire for a paso - I was SHOCKED by the high scores.

Angela....oh Angela. The solo at the start made me cringe, and I kept saying to my husband "why are they just standing still", such an oddly fragmented dance and she didn't do it well.

The VT for Bobby was awful, him talking about his mum felt really insincere and a lot of the things he said didn't even make sense, it felt like they desperately wanted to convey something but in a completely unnatural way. The dance itself was nice in places but I agree the bit on shoulders at the end was bizarre and went on far too long. I didn't find it as moving as I thought I would as the whole message was too heavy handed and didn't feel organic.

Ellie was great and I LOVED the walking up Vito bit, but when she cycled her legs at the start I turned to my husband and said "that's what we do with our baby when he's got wind!" 😂

We've come away for a mini-break today so I'm avoiding spoilers and hoping the wifi in the hotel lets me stream the results show on iPlayer once the baby is asleep! I really can't call what's going to happen but I'm hoping Angela leaves - I really like her and last week was amazing, but last night she was the weakest.
 
If standing in the Clauditorium with arms around waists equals bonking, there sure are a lot of Curses striking this year... 😂

Why do they dislike Vito so much over on Digital Spy? Someone posted to say they thought Gio was jealous of him (what we’ve all been saying) and they’d been piled on. Why would Gio be jealous when he has such an established fanbase, fair enough defend him but they can’t help but diss Vito in the process.
 

Me watching Angela’s dance last night….

I think its just bobbys I’ve not seen from last night and I don’t think I’m going to watch it. I’ve two very young children and the thought of something happening to me and leaving them is too upsetting to think about, so for that reason I’m going to give his dance a miss. Don’t need to be triggered like that especially by what should be a fun and light entertainment show!!

Apparently Gio is ‘misunderstood’ 🙄

One thing lots of years has taught me is the jealousy isn’t about what you have … it’s about what you perceive the other person to have.

Hahaha the rumours that could be started with the arms.
i didn’t mean to imply they are together (I really don’t think they are) just staying the small little things people are clinging on to trying to convince themselves they are.
Full respect to them if they are because personally after 9+ hours of training everyday the last thing I’d be wanting is a few rounds of bedroom twister!

They used to hate Gio they were fairly brutal towards him that first year or two, maybe it's the St. Rose effect? 🤔

At this point in the comp DS always turns on the favs during fan warz time, hence the hate towards Vito even Ellie has started to be drawn into the hate.
