it’s interesting! i do think different couples vary in popularity across different platforms though - as a big soap forum, nigel probably has a lot of old school fans on DS so it makes sense he and katya are popular there. likewise, i would assume that bobby and dianne’s fans skew quite young, so i get why he’s always high in YT views.

I must admit afterwards I did wonder if it was a bit exploitative. Annabelle and her children had this massive life changing loss only a few months ago and I did feel like the BBC filmed this knowing it would pull in more votes.

i felt for her son and daughter when the cameras immediately cut to them in the audience too. her daughter in particular looked extremely emotional and i didn’t think we needed to see it really. it’s all so recent for them. fair enough if annabel has made a clear decision to do the show and had some agency on what was disclosed, but her children aren’t part of that.
 
My guilty pleasure is occasionally reading DS - the thing with the forums is that it tends to be a lot of the same people on them - so can’t judge popularity from DS - say Nige page has 84 pages it could just be the same 10/15 people posting. Instagram is quite a good judge as you can only like once but again depends on if those people are voting.

I really want Layton to make the final and I don’t care that he has dance experience as he’s not ballroom/latin trained but can add the wow factor to his dances.

The DS Ellie/Vito rumour page has kept me a little entertained - is Vito back with the ex his co-parents Aaron with? I want to know how they know she is in London? Do people actively follow exs of strictly pros?

OMG that poster who insists that he's back with his ex because someone they know saw a deleted story or something. And yes, people do follow his ex apparently! And of course if his ex (who is I believe, a model) is in London, it can only be to hook up with him in the few hours he has free, rather than say, for modelling work..

I think that person is an ex Rio shipper - which explains where they honed their detective skills. I will never not laugh at the fact that the shippers were snooping round stories of people connected to Gio thinking they would find Rose at that party, and instead it was Jowita sitting on his lap!

The more invested know when it’s time to buy a new washing up liquid and where you can find the light bulbs you just knew you bought during Covid in their beloved’s houses so that will be a big yes siree, they most certainly do.

I definitely want to see him in the final. Him, Nigel and Ellie - I will be happy then. I don't mind who wins if it's one of those three. And three lovely pros. Happy days.

Seeing as some people know the layout of the house of their Chosen One better than their own, and their movements better than their PA … nothing would surprise me.

same. layton, nigel and ellie would be my final of dreams.

i do think, as said before, that layton is going to start the ashley roberts journey of falling into the DO but seeing everyone off soon. same as her, i think he and nikita will go into the final knowing they probably won’t win and will just have an amazing showstopping time instead.

My favourites were the absolute scrutiny Mollie and AJ’s photographs were put under … analysing position of the sun and car interior fittings, everything … in an attempt to prove they were in the same place at the same time.

it was fascinating. I couldn‘t look away.

It felt a bit voyeuristic, I thought the judges reactions were just right - thank Craig for lightning it with a "boo" moment.
It's too raw for her and maybe better for her to do it 2024, but she needed to now for her- hopefully it helps with the healing. And now she can move onto fun samba!

Yes, I noticed this. Hamza had the runaway most popular thread last year. Rose before that. Kelvin definitely did, too.
 
Well given that Vito has a secret blonde girlfriend/Nikita, his ex is going to be most displeased when she turns up at Elstree on Saturday. Could the Self-Confidence Rumba be disrupted by TWO women charging onto the dancefloor screaming 'Hands off! he's mine!' Even better if one is dragging his dog.

I can only imagine the dossiers LadyLav has on Gio's house/family/movements.

I’m not sure Bobby is the darling and final shoe in we all thought anymore, it would seem the tide is turning with the Joe Sugg/Dianne stans. I’ve already had quite a few TikToks come up on my FYP filled with comments saying Bobby is fuelling the press, isn’t being fair to Dianne etc.

If her fans actually had some brain cells they would realise that not voting for them would do her the biggest favour, allowing her to get away from Bobby and go and see her Dad sooner
 
I think N&L’s partnership is really working in Laytons favour. For whatever reason, their partnership absolutely works and is one of those that’s seems extremely genuine. They’ve got bags of chemistry, seem to have so much fun and it translates into their dancing. On Morning Live they were asked about why their partnership is special & Nikita said it works because it’s two best mates who happen to be learning to dance together and you can see that very clearly. There’s a lot of love for them as a pair online, more than I expected to be honest. That said, I still expect them to start being in the dance off once Angela S, Angela R, Krishnan & Annabel are gone.
