He missed an ITT the week before to rest … for someone so recently diagnosed with rheumy he did exceptionally well but now he needs to go and get his medication doses sorted out and sleep for a couple of days.

I am positive the judges were bearing that in mind. Nobody wants a two-person final, and the people shrieking in the comments section would also presumably be shrieking if darling Bobby or Nigel was kept out of the final.
Make it make sense: Adam is basically out on his feet, but absolutely should have been kept in over that evil witch!

He was definitely making progress imo and he took on board everything that was said to him.

Luba seems genuinely fond of him and I thought they had a lovely partnership.

agreed. i was ready to not be a fan of him really, based on what i knew of him and how annoying his brothers are, but (minor things aside) i thought he came across decently and obviously took the whole thing seriously. he also was a good partner to luba and, like you say, their partnership was lovely. it was just a shame to see him start to obviously struggle (through no fault of his own) at the end.

he can be proud of how he did imo. and i think luba more than deserves a partner next year, it was great to finally get to see so much of her.

i fear this BUT i can’t see the judges saving bobby over any of those three in a dance off. unless nigel has a week where he seriously messes up, but a lot of his remaining dances seem to suit him.

however, the looming sceptre of bobby’s couples choice concerns me.

A lot could change, but you'd have to think that Layton would take out whoever he's up against in a semifinal, even Ellie. So it will all depend on the judges' scores, and on who has the votes to avoid the B2. We'd have to hope for Bobby to land there where Layton would definitely destroy him (this is also presuming that Layton would have fewer votes than the others which I have no idea of, but in Dave's last poll he was fourth... ).
Damn FR for making Amanda (possibly!) pull out!

I honestly still wouldn't rule Bobby out of the final. As hard as I find it to imagine him taking Layton's spot, there could be a scenario were they're both in the DO and a ballroom number takes out Layton on a split vote, or something along those lines.

But will Bobby actually even land in a DO? That's what I'm wondering. Only if he's bottom of the LB in the semi's, but if he's not, then I would not rule him out of sailing through on public vote.

I’m firmly in the Strictly is light entertainment camp and people need to not take it so seriously BUT I will riot if Bobby knocks out Layton. If any of those judges decided Bobby was a better dancer, they need to consider a new career. I’d also prepare for battle if he knocked out Ellie. Or probably Nigel.

I'm thinking it will be Ellie, Bobby for sure couldn't say between layton and krishnan eventually a decision will need to be made whether public go for the better dancer or their favourite couple.

Layton has burned through the latin dances which might be his downfall
 
I'm just not getting where Bobby is a finalist, he hasn't had any wow dances or once scored above 32 by the halfway point. Pretty much everyone who has won or made the final had upped their scores by this point. Dianne is beginning to get fed up with him I think.

His 'aw shucks' attitude can only take him so far.

I think you imagined it, lol. I've just watched and they both have their hands on their own knees. 🤷‍♀️

Edit: Layton had his hand on Nikita's knee for a second at that time though... but if you've mistaken Layton and Nikita for Vito and Nigel, I'd suggest maybe
