It was definitely Zara’s time to go
Top 4 for me last night - Ellie/Vito, Layton/Nikita Krishnan/Lauren and Nigel/Katya.
same - and that’s also my dream final 4 too
i, quite honestly, forget that annabel and angela s are there a lot of the time
I noticed that too and Kai is usually more tactful in general so I was surprised.Just remembered Kai being a little too frank in the Clauditorium, when he talked about Craig "banging on" about swivels and then seemed to remember they hadn't been scored yet and tried to salvage the sentence

Krishnan's latest post ❤
I remember his very first week on strictly ever he was caught on camera giving the thumbs down to something craig said, possibly on Gio or Neil’s dance? He seemed to stop being snarky after that, although he did do a few slightly annoyed comments in the Clauditorium when aj got some bad feedback. Possibly about the swivels in their charleston?I noticed that too and Kai is usually more tactful in general so I was surprised.
Well I did see it eventually, only by listening to Nigel's comments about the arm movement, with the 'put something on the shelf'. It really wasn't something that ruined the dance, it was minute in that section of the choreo.
His moonwalk was excellent, the head nods absolutely captured the essence of the 'zombie' dance. There was so much stand out why they picked out the negative and be so nasty about it is beyond me.
Another Fanny Fan: won't someone think of the perfume?
Ah, I think it’s people not age … my coterie of Aged Relatives (85+ and well in to the 90’s) adore Layton and want to adopt him (this may have something to with being very protective of a gay brother/in law during the criminal years), think Angela R is doing okay for young ‘un, think Bobby needs a good shake and to wake up, Krishnan is a joy, feel sorry for JoJo, think Ellie is a lovely lass and Nigel is very suave.I have an old bird (I’d say 80) who comes to my restaurant every Sunday. She loves to tell me her strictly thoughts, unfortunately, they are exactly what you’d expect for the generation. (These are her views not mine!!!!!! I will also alter the language she uses because quite frankly it’s offensive!!)
she can appreciate Layton is a talented boy but she doesn’t like to watch same sex couples dance. It’s not the same
the newsreader is trying very hard, good for him, won’t go far though.
the tennis player is really elegant, I hope she does well.
The emmerdale boy seems such a lovely young man
I’d like the boy from eastenders to win, he’s got a lovely dancers frame and he deserves it after losing his mum so young
Yet my mother (82) perves over Vito, big time. He can do no wrong. She loves Layton ( ‘just like seeing the fosse musicals in the 70s’)Ah, I think it’s people not age … my coterie of Aged Relatives (85+ and well in to the 90’s) adore Layton and want to adopt him (this may have something to with being very protective of a gay brother/in law during the criminal years), think Angela R is doing okay for young ‘un, think Bobby needs a good shake and to wake up, Krishnan is a joy, feel sorry for JoJo, think Ellie is a lovely lass and Nigel is very suave.
After Layton and Nikita's dance my husband shouted through from the other room "was it any good?" and I replied with "I'm not sure - I really enjoyed it but that might just be because it was incredibly homoerotic"
- Nigel's dance was great, despite him looking a little hesitant at times, and I was really impressed. The way the judges beat him down rather than trying to offer a balance of goods and "could improves" reminds me a little bit of an emotionally abusive relationship or when you're getting bullied by a manager - if your faults are consistently pointed out without balance or nurturing you become nervous and more prone to make mistakes, which the person then uses against you in an "I told you that you weren't any good" way I felt so sad for him, he should have been praised for everything he achieved with notes about the mistakes as a reason for knocking a point off, not being heavily criticised under the guise of doing it for his own good.
I have no strong feelings about Gio one way or the other but I think he would probably have worked quite well with Angela R.The more I read the more I think Gio isn’t a very nice person. The only partnerships of his I like were Debbie and Rose. But they both had natural talent. He hasn’t got the patience with people who dancing doesn’t come naturally to or who aren’t attractive to him or a bit older. You couldn’t have put him with Angela R for example,

Also Vito is better looking than Gio. So are Gorka ans Nikita. Gio isn’t as hot as he thinks he is.
Watching Layton and Nikita again I think if the song hadn’t been so fucked it would have been better. I was distracted by the awful caterwauling. It was certainly homoerotic though and showed how far strictly has come in a few years. The first male male professionals dance in 2019 drew loads of complaints and now only a few years later we have a man pinning another to the ground looking like they are about to kiss
They really do need to back off Nigel now. He is one of the better dancers but his anxiety and confidence keep getting a kicking from their ‘constructive’ comments. It’s really unpleasant to witness although it could lead to him winning as there is nothing the British public likes more than an underdog.
I’d be happy if Shirley and Fannyrat both buggered off after this series.
