For my money, Ellie just doesn't have very nice lines, particularly in ballroom so I'm unsurprised Anton isn't getting out a 10.

I mean, if Eddie could’ve got a ten I’m sure Ellie can. I think it’s more because as good as she is, she’s got potential to be even better. They’re always a bit harsher on the really good ones.

Bobby's odds have narrowed further despite a somewhat mediocre dance last night, telling me he is basically a shoo-in. Wait until his CC or anything that can be tied to Jade.

I don't think Shirley has it in for Nigel -- she was like this with Fleur last year and then when she thought Fleur had got the technique was lovely to her. I don't think she has a good grasp of how to deliver criticism, but it seems to be helping Nigel, judging by the amount of 'poor Nigel' comments online.

I've rewatched Ellie's salsa several times already. May not technically be the best ever, but I love how much fun they are having, and it reminds me in tone and cuteness of Tilly and Nikita's Halloween CCC - also green! Helped that the singers (this time) did a good job.
Talking of green, whoever made Vito shave his beard for the green paint job will know my vengeance.

I’m not sure Bobby dancing in honour of his mother will bring the votes they think. I’m very sad he lost his mum and especially at such a young age. But Jade was a vile bully that people seem to have forgotten. She was so awful on Celebrity BB.

I think if they do a CC dedicated to his mum it would have to be very careful handled, as not everyone has forgotten how awful her Celeb BB appearance was, i think a CC dedicated to his dad/family who bought him up would have more impact on people (not on me of course cos I just watch strictly for entertainment during the winter months and/or am heartless )

I love Fleur and Vito's friendship. They ended up being my favourite partnership last year and getting my votes in the final even though there was no chance of them winning. I'm a sap and I find it very sweet when one of the "friends for life" claims actually turns into a lasting friendship.

But yes, whoever was responsible for him shaving his beard needs a nice stern talking to. I'm sure Shirley would be capable of delivering one with the malice I require

because on the flip side of Katya being speculated about is a married man with a little ten year old daughter who sits in on the training sessions every single Wednesday after she finishes school..... like the reality of seeing his little girl there and thinking 'I'm cheating with your dad' surely not .

Now I’m not a Jade fan at all. She was awful but I really do think she was created by generational trauma. She had an awful childhood with parents with addiction issues. I think finding fame at a young age didn’t help as she hadn’t matured or addressed her trauma. I do think her young death was pretty tragic and ultimately no matter how unpleasant she was she had a tit life and died very young. I’m not a Bobby fan but I am willing him along from the sidelines hoping he will break the trauma chain and have a happy successful life.

Just not as the winner of strictly!

Watching Layton and Nikita again I think if the song hadn’t been so fucked it would have been better. I was distracted by the awful caterwauling. It was certainly homoerotic though and showed how far strictly has come in a few years. The first male male professionals dance in 2019 drew loads of complaints and now only a few years later we have a man pinning another to the ground looking like they are about to kiss

They really do need to back off Nigel now. He is one of the better dancers but his anxiety and confidence keep getting a kicking from their ‘constructive’ comments. It’s really unpleasant to witness although it could lead to him winning as there is nothing the British public likes more than an underdog.

I’d be happy if Shirley and Fannyrat both buggered off after this series.

Is it homoerotic if he's dressed as a woman though? I don't see the need for him to wear dresses all the time- he's not trans. It would have been more impactful to see two male presenting men looking like they're about to kiss.
